Florida summer weather

We are planning a summer 2006 trip to WDW with three kids (14,13, & 7), and coming from New England, I am concerned with the heat. Out of End of June, July, or August, which is typically hotter in WDW? (I realized no one's a weather man!).

Well it was 97 degrees today!

Remember it was 93 here yesterday, with high humidity. We were there in July visiting friends and we didn't mind it at all. DD(16), DH and I, Just drink water and don't rush.

We just returned almost 2 weeks ago (already!)I found it was wayyyy more hot than last year. I have to admit, I think we are done visiting WDW in summer. We loved our long vacation and I will miss not being able to go for more than a week but we were seriously getting on each others nerves at times!!!

I think if you go expecting the worse, you may be plaesantly surprised. i thin that I had no choice but to go in the summer, I'd still go. The atmosphere cannot be beat, the parks are open longer too.

Just enjoy the resort pools in the PM, and go to the parks early morning and evenings. Drink lots of water and have a nice AC lunch. That should help.

I've been there early June and in August, and I think August is hotter. The nights seem to cool off a bit more in June. We were just there last week, and I think this past weekend in Massachusetts was worse than the weather in Disney World a week ago!

Thank-you for the infor. I think we will try to go back to the hotels for a break if it doesn't take too long to get back and forth between there & the parks.

I think August is also the rainiest month, and pretty active for hurricanes - atleast for the past few years. We were there last year for Charley. Last year we saw a lot of rain, but this time, hardly any. If rain is an issue for you, earlier in the summer might be better.
