Florida Resident tickets

Any Florida residents out there who can help...We will be at Disney shortly and have friends who live in Florida. They can purchase tickets for us at their discounted rate. Question I have is if these tickets are marked somehow that they are for Florida residents. I like the idea of a lower cost but I don't want to get to the gate and not have them valid if I have to show ID.

FL tickets are ONLY for FL residents. ID must be shown and fingerscans that match the person with the ID will be done. Play4 utilizes the ID/Fingerscan as do the other FL passes.

Every adult HAS to show proof of Florida residency, therefore it would not work for you.

I understand that you need to show ID when purchasing the tickets but do you need to show ID upon entering the parks as well?

Yes, you will need to show proof of Florida residency at the first park you enter. You will then use the finger scan for the other days/parks. Because of the finger scan, you will be the only one who can use your ticket. Disney is pretty strict about the Florida resident specials. I wouldn't risk it if I were you.

If for some reason your finger scan does not match up ( which has happened for both Dh and myself many times) You will be required to show your id again. So FL residents make sure you take your picture id into the parks, just incase your finger scan does not work.

MandM If your friends are going into the park with you and all of you plan on eating at sitdown meals have your friends get the Disney Dining Experience. You will get 20% off your bill for up to 6 people, and it is only 70$ for a full year. But you will have to be with the FL residents. If you like sitdowns it really does help. My DH and I saved the cost of it between the 2 of us in just 4 days at disney, and we are going back this weekend with a group of 6 and will be very happy to have all our meals discounted.
