Florida Resident Tickets for non-Florida residents

I must look untrustworthy as I get asked a lot for my id.

Come to think of it, I get stopped at "random" checkpoints in airports a lot too!

We've always had to show our ID when exchanging our vouchers for the actual pass and there have been a few times when we've had to show our ID at the gate.

Here is the complete official list available to people who sell tickets:

The following items are the only documents accepted as proof of Florida Residency:

* Valid Florida State Drivers License
* Valid Florida State issued ID Card with Florida Address
* Valid Florida Voter’s Registration Card with the Guest's name and address with corresponding photo ID
* Valid Florida University / College Student ID
* Valid Military ID stationed at one of the Florida Military Bases listed below:
o Clearwater Coast Guard Station
o Eglin AFB
o Hurlburt Field AFB
o Jacksonville Naval Air Station
o MacDill AFB
o Mayport Naval Air Station
o Miami Coast Guard Station
o Naval Support Activity - Panama City
o Patrick AFB
o Pensacola Naval Air Station
o Tyndall AFB
o Kennedy Space Center
o Homestead Air Reserve Base
o Key West Naval Air Station
o United States Southern Command (Miami)
o Naval Ordnance Test Unit in Orlando and Cape Canaveral
o Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

You can also use a utility bill from a florida address, military orders assigning you to a Florida installation (military ID doesn't specify where you are stationed) and they used to accept a Florida lease as well (not sure if they still do this). Not all who live in Florida actually have a Florida ID.

NO! You cannot show a lease or bill. This was changed several years ago. And all people who do, at least some part of the year, reside in Florida need a Florida ID to get these tickets (not necessarily a driver's license, but an ID).
