I am visiting WDW in Nov with my family of four and my brother in-law and his family. He lives in FL and has offered to pre-purchase all our tickets before we get there. It is a huge savings, BUT we are not from FL...do we have to show ID verifying our residence in order to enter the parks...or would he have to do it just at the time of ticket purchase?? Thanks for any knowledge and advice!!:cheer2:

you must shown a valid florida drivers license or a florida picture id. disney is very strict on the florida resident deals.

Kids under 16 do not need a FL resident ID to use FL resident tickets. My daughter has a FL resident AP and did not need and ID to use it. She's now 14 and has had a resident AP for the last 4 years. Not sure if that has changed or not since we got her last AP last year.

They do not give you your "real" ticket until you get to the park, show your valid Florida ID and have it swiped. There's no getting around it:confused3 It stinks, I know it. Until then it is just a hard piece of plastic that represents the future of a Florida Resident ticket.

They are very strict about it. I had to show my ID every time we entered a park 10 years ago and I am very sad that I lost my status now that it is time to take the kids to Disney. If only my FL ID didn't have a giant hole in it :(
