Florida Resident rate without FL license?

I'm not going to tell you what to do, but this is what I would do.

Flat out tell the seller that you won't finish the transaction because you bid before he disclosed a fundamental problem with teh tickets. he should ahve stated from the very beginning that they were only good for Florida residents.

Additionally the sale of Disney Tickets is illegal and that is specifically stated on the back of the ticket. So he is not only breaking the law, he is also commiting fraud. I can't see how ebay would take his side in that.

Even if they did, taking the miniscule hit on your feedback, and responding with the fact that you leared after you bid that resale of the item was illegal.

IMHO it's FAR better to cut your losses now and buy your tickets through a legitimate venue than get to the gate and be disappointed and out a lot of cash.

Wanted to add for the OP, when you go to the DMV to apply for a FL ID, you don't receive the card in the mail for 30 days. They don't give any temp. ID.

Also, many of the DMV offices are by appt. only and for the more popular offices you may have to wait for a few weeks before you can get an appt. I went to one of the larger offices in our area and I had to wait for 3 weeks to get an appt.

I hope you get this issue resolved. I would not follow through on the transaction since such a major issue was not disclosed.

things have changed. AT one time, they did give it to you ... right there. They took your pic and gave it to you ....just as they did your DL. Yes, some now are by appt only! Years ago (back in 05) they did still take some walk in's but you did have to wait a while....

Thanks to everyone for your help in this matter.
I did email the seller of the tickets and explained the situation. When I first questioned him- he was a little gruff sounding in his replies like I was offending him. Then as our communication continued he seemed to be just annoyed.

I have to say that I was SOOOOO tempted to just complete the transaction- Cuz I am a budget freak and LOVE to save money- Not just on Disney- ON EVERYTHING!!!!

Well, after the advice I got here I explained that I was not going to complete the transaction and why and he agreed that I could pay him $5.00 for his listing fees and trouble. But this morning when I was checking stuff out on my Ebay- (I also sell high end handbags and shoes)- I saw where he is no longer a registered user.

Huh- Imagine that. I bet it WAS all just a scam. Another instance of this board being a great tool for vacationing.
