As a DVC member and having an ownership in a leased property in Florida, does that qualify you as a Florida Resident? :teeth:

If you are asking if DVC ownership makes you a resident, the answer is no. It almost doesn't matter anymore though, since we get teh AP discount that is almost comparable to the Florida Resident pass.

Not if you really meant to ask "Does DVC membership alone qualify me to get Florida-resident discounts from Disney"?

The paperwork we sign at purchase specifically says that DVC membership does not entitle us to receive Florida resident discounts from Disney. So it doesn't matter if Florida considers us residents or not - Disney doesn't - at least as far as getting discounts goes!

Best wishes -

And I agree with Diane - the only discount I ever really wanted was the discount on AP/PAP. Now that we've got that, I am jealous no more - well except I'm still jealous that Florida residents can get there so much quicker than we Minnesotans can, LOL!

That's for sure, Carol!

for asking this question. I had the same question for my husband and wanted to know we are Florida residents as well.
Great minds think alike!
