Florida Resident Pass Question

Hi All! I have a question regarding Florida Resident Seasonal Passes. I used to live soley in Florida, but now I reside in Florida and another state. I am trying to find out if I can still get my Florida Seasonal Passes. I no longer have a Florida Drivers License, but I do have receive mail and bills to my Florida address. The Disney Website states:

Proof of a Florida residential address is required. For each adult ticket purchased, you may provide any of the following:

• Valid Florida driver's license
• Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
• Valid Florida-based military ID

The persons who will use the Florida Resident adult tickets must be present at the time of ticket pick up. If you do not have one of the IDs indicated above, then for each adult ticket purchased you must provide one of the following dated within the last two months and evidencing a Florida residential address together with a corresponding picture ID (passport, driver's license, state identification card):

• Monthly mortgage statement
• Florida vehicle registration or title
• Homeowner's insurance policy or bill
• Automobile insurance policy or bill
• Utility bill
• Mail from a financial institution, including checking, savings, or investment account statement
• Mail from a Federal, State, County or City government agency

Bills can be no more than two (2) months old. PO Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency. Current bills printed from electronic versions are acceptable, though photocopies and fax copies are not.

So does this mean I can use my out of state license as my picture ID along with my mail from a financial institution or the federal government?

I would be very careful about this, CM have become really, really picky about documentation for FL resident passes.

We own a home in Florida, but my DH is in the military and so his drivers license is still from CT. Last year we brought both our most recent monthly mortgage statement, that showed clearly that it was for a house in Florida, and we had a copy of our most recent homeowners insurance bill, which had the address of our Florida home right across the top. According to the Disney website, either of those items should have been enough (let alone both!), but the CM we dealt with gave us a really hard time because DH had his mailing address listed as CT.

We eventually did get the Florida resident passes for DH, but it was after significant back and forth and it left a bad taste in my mouth, like the CM was trying to accuse us of pulling one over on her. We were following the rules put forth on the website, but just be aware that you might get some hassle.

ETA: I don't know why they even put a "Florida based Military ID" on the list of approved documents, because military IDs do not have an address on them, and they do not specify what base you are serving at. There is no such thing as a "Florida based Military ID", there is just a standard military ID.

I found it really hard to use other forms of Florida residency when I tried before we moved. I tried to use military ID and mail and had issues.

I agree with the others. I do have a place in FL, but my license was in NJ. Even with the proper proof, I had issues. So, instead of dealing with the hassle, I surrendered my NJ license and used all the proof I had to get a FL license. Problem solved.

Since passport is an option for ID, and there's no address printed in a passport (there's a space for you to write in your current address, and it tells you to do this pencil), can you use that?

But what about having your tickets shipped to your Florida resident. I do stay in Florida part time and have an address and all. I see where there is an option to have tickets shipped to your residence

Hey all! Just spoke to CM over the phone. He told me very confidently that I could use my out of state license as my photo ID and just bring one of the pieces of "approved" mail (financial statement with my FL address, etc) with me when I purchase. However, I was able to purchase a new Florida Seasonal Pass over the phone with the CM and the voucher is being sent to my Florida address. I can attach it to my magic band that I already have, or I can customize a new one. Then it will be activated upon entry to the park.

Keeping my fingers crossed it all works out according to plan!

I just wanted to say what happened in Oct 2014 to me. A new fla seasonal resident. I still have a home in another state. I booked our fla resident room online. Our tickets online as well. Our bands came to our Florida home. I did online check in for the first time. I brought our passports as our photo ID, which is what they indicate on the website. I brought our insurance bill and utility bill as well. They asked for nothing. Not at check in, not at the gate using our bands, and not at the halloween star ticket entrance either.
So, I'm not sure if it was a lark, but I actually went to guest services at MK and asked if all our bands were validated before we got on line ( for Halloween party). I was told.. We have lots of people lucky enough to own a second home and are snowbirds and they are considered residents , yet they did not ask to see anything. So, that was our recent experience.
I'm booking again for a quick return trip but this time getting annual passes and will again bring our proof of residency as the disney site outlines.

I have been told that my mom(FL resident) can buy tickets for my kids at resident rate. And i can then use them without her being present? Is that correct? And i believe she has to buy them in person. Any help would be appreciated.
