Florida resident pass activation

I received out passes by Fedex today. The letter in the package said we can go right to the turnstyle with them but we are staying onsite. I am assuming they have to activates somehow so the expiration date is established?

You activate them by going through the gate.

You can go online to check it out. You could go to guest services and check as well.
