My parents bought FL resident annual passes when we were at WDW in December. We are now going back in March, on the waiting list for SOG (LOL) and are considering booking POR just in case SOG is not ready. My question - can they book the AP rate with their FL resident APs?

Are you asking if they can book the rate, or if they can book the rate for YOU?

Not sure if they can book for you, since they do ask for ID when checking in. But, if they are staying with you, then that won't be a problem booking an AP rate with a FL resident AP. An AP is an AP.

FL resident can book up to three rooms in their name and on their CC. No one else in the party needs to be a FL resident.
Non FL residents can not use FL rate tickets in the parks.

In some cases FL Resident rates are better then the AP rate, so they should check for both.

There are two room discounts offered. One is Fla Res and the other annual pass. I suggest asking for both as many times the AP is not available but the Fla Res is and they are generally the same rate. WDW opens only so many rooms in each room discount catagory. So that is why it is best to ask about both discounts availability.
