My Aunt who is a Florida resident, bought us 4 day hopper passes at her discount rate for a Christmas present. We are going to Disney in March and I am affraid that since we are not Florida residents, this may not be allowed. Once the passes are purchased...do they check i.d. again at the gate? I don't want to hurt her feelings....this gift was generous but an unexpected suprise. Thanks so much.

It depends on what she bought you. If she bought you the regular 4 day PH, you have no problem. Use them and enjoy.

If she bought you the Play 4 Days pass, you have a problem. What she got were vouchers. They need to be turned in for the actual pass - with a valid Florida ID - at any Guest Relations location.

I bet that even if it turns out you can't use them they would give you credit towards whatever you do buy. The tickets are not used and you could just explain that your Aunt did not understand the rules. I am sure Disney has seen this one before,

The only 4 day hopper passes that I know I can by at a discount is the Play 4 Days Hopper. If that's the one your aunt bought you, you ARE NOT going to be able to use those. :( However, CarolA doesn't have a bad idea. I would just take the vouchers to guest services and explain they were a gift from a relative who is a FL resident, but you are not. I don't see why they wouldn't let you put those vouchers towards the purchases of the 4 day hopper passes. You can always give Disney a call and find out what you need to do before you arrive. Maybe, you can trying going to a local Disney Store and see if maybe they will let you exchange them for the correct vouchers. Give them a call too and see what you can do.

Have fun on your trip.

It depends on what the OP's definition of a discount is. If the aunt purchased a four day park hopper, she paid the discounted advance purchase price. That could be what was meant by the discount.

If they are in fact Play 4 Days passes, there will be no problem in exchanging them for credit towards another pass.

TDS cannot help you out with this. It will require a trip to a Guest Relations location at WDW.
