I am a NJ resident, but my parents are Florida residents and we are all planning a WDW trip for next spring. Does anyone know if it is possible for my parents to book 2 seperate rooms(at the Poly)for the Florida resident rate, even though they will only occupy 1? My husband, daughter and I will be in the other room. They would be checking in the same day as us, but will be checking out 3 days earlier than we will. I wonder if that would be a possible for us to do? ANy ideas/comments/suggestions?
Thanks.

As long as your parents are there to check you in- there shouldn't be a problem. Although, you may be charged an "exta adult" charge b/c you would essentially have you, your spouse and one of your parents on the ressie. You may want to check into that, but there shouldn't be any problem with them booking you a room under any FL res. discount.

I think there is a way around the extra rate for 3rd adult. If you are booking 2 rooms together, you are entitled to be allowed up to 4 adults total. So that is basically what you are doing. However, I would have your parents book the 2 rooms in their name & you all arrive at the same time. Have them do the check in & you will be issued your room key/id cards with your names on them. Or you can have your mom book on in her name & yours while your dad does one in his & your DH?? The first way I mentioned is much easier though....

As Florida Residents, we do this all the time for out of town guests. In fact, 1 FLA Res can book two rooms at the Fla rate. You will have no problem at all. The only issue will be deposits, which must be from the person whose name is on the res. But payment can be changed to anyones CC after the fact.

Thanks for your reply. I did call Disney yesterday to ask them and they said the same thing. As long as we check in together it will not be a problem. This is great because it will save us about $100 per night on the hotel.
