I know many people on the boards know about this station on the Live365 web site, but I thought I'd give it another mention for those who may not know about it. I had this on most of the day yesterday as I was cleaning out my utility room, and also as I was putting together our itinerary for our trip later this summer. It really makes you feel like you are there. Besides quick songs from various areas of the parks, I heard the entire Splash Mountain ride, the entire Haunted Mansion ride, various segments from Illuminations (different shows apparently), and the entire Small World ride. I also got the mornig greating at MK, some of the Muppet 3D attraction, and much more. You get the idea. There are other Disney stations on Live365, but this seems to be the only one that plays theme park audio exclusively. Great station, and somewhat addicting.

Agreed. I started listening to this 2 weeks ago at work and my co-workers are fitting me for one of those funny white jackets that tie in the back :jester: Some people just don' t get it

Somedays, work is so horrible that dreaming about my upcoming trip and listening to stations like this are the only things that keep me going!!

How are you guys getting onto this site? I was happily listening to this for about a year and then last week - nothing. It can't even find florida project radio for me and what it does give me under Disney is for preferred members only.

I asked about this last week and tried a few suggestions, but still no luck.

Any more ideas?

What is this and how do I get there?

I'm listening to it right now, at my desk, with my secretary frowning at me--she says I'm just feeding my obsession. I wonder what makes her say that?

I don't know if this will help, since I assume you've tried this. But when I get into www.live365.com, it has a section in the middle that says "Find stations that play:" I enter "Disney" in and click, an dit give a pretty long list of stations - some preferred (gold button) and some not (yellow button). Florida Project Radio is not preferred on mine.

If that isn't working for you, I wonder if you need to clear your "cookies" or simply refresh the page. You may be loading a page from your saved internet files folder instead of the actual page (that's unlikely, but may be worth a try.) I'll look up the thread you mention and see what the responses were.

Once you get it, be sure to save the station as a "preset".

I wish I could listen to this at work, but being a large company, our IT department blocks any streaming video or audio so we don't choke up all our bandwidth.

Luckily I am able to listen to live365.com at work. At this time I no longer share my office with anyone. But my two bosses come in and it is awkard when I have to explain when something like Muppet 3D, Honey I shrunk the Audience, etc is on.

If you cannot get it at work maybe you can try to get it at home and tape it and bring the tape to work. While I am at Disney I have taped the different Disney stations (WDW Tour, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club) and brought it home to listen too.

This is the best station. You have to try it out.

Terry S -
It's an "Internet Radio Station", one of hundreds that can be found on the web site Live365 (www.live365.com). It's free, but you have to put up with frequent pop-up ads and some occasional commercials on the broadcast. When you first sign up (you have to register) it will ask you what player you want to use - I think they recommned RealPlayer, but if you don't have it they will install one.

As I said, there are hundreds of stations. I guess people put these together from there own collection of music. You can find Beatles statiosn, classic rock, oldies, jazz, anything you can think of. Like I said, lots of Disney stations.

Some of the stations are classified as "premium content" and you have to be a paid subscriber to get those. Also, if a station reaches a certain number of listeners at one time, then only premium subscribers can get in to it.

Hope that helps.

kmr,
If you are still having trouble, try this:
Go directly intot the web site for Florida Project Radio, which is http://www.floridaproject.net/

From there, follow their link to the station on Live365. That will at least get you to the station. (I don't understand why the search doesn't work.) Then click the yellow speaker button. I hope that works.

By the way, I've read this doesn't work for some "internet devices" like WebTV. I assume you're trying this on a regular computer with either dial-up or broadband internet connections.

OMG! This is a great radio station! I never thought to check if something like this even existed. Thank you for clueing me in !! :Pinkbounc

Personally, I enjoy listening to Park Hopper Radio much more. They seem to have much more variety and better quality. But that's just me...

You can get Disney Park Hopper Radio on live365.com. I just put a preset for this station in my favorites. I have not checked out this one before. Thank you for letting us know about it.

I like the variety on Park Hopper Radio but I think the quality stinks compared to Florida Project. It sounds like someones videotape (fuzzy with background talking, noise, etc.) I have no idea how Florida Project gets some of their content. It all sounds like original recordings-not copies!

I am addicted to both Mouseworld Radio and Florida Project Radio. I would not be able to get through the day at work without them!!

Thank you so much.....just had my co-worker show me how to erase my cookies and what do you know?????? I'm back in business.

Thank you, thank you, thank you - it's been a long quiet week without my favorite music!

Unfortunately, I cannot get this at work. They turned off all streaming content to save bandwidth, but I got a huge kick out of the intro page for the Florida Project radio station...

This Station Plays Tracks Like:
It's Tough to Be a Bug - I Feel Pretty - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Magic Kingdom Entrance Loop - All in the Golden Afternoon - Magic Kingdom
Mickey Mania Parade - Mickey Mania - Magic Kingdom
Splash Mountain - Ev'rybody Has a Laughin' Place - Magic Kingdom
World of Motion - Its Fun to Be Free (Soft Shoe) - Epcot

Seems to me like it needs to be updated a bit, you think???
