Florida-like lightning in New York!

We are having some of the nastiest lightning I've ever seen around here right now.

Reminds me of Orlando.

I hate lightening - thunder I can handle but sometimes that lightening feels like it is striking right next to you.

BAD too! I RUN into the house when the Dark Clouds come, and the lightning starts--don't go out till its over with. Had a bad experience one time, that was IT for me!

Oh I'm so jealous! Since we moved from Long Island to AZ I really miss stormy weather! This darn sunshine really gets to me after a while!

I know what you mean! The lightning here in Michigan is very intense! It does feel like the lightnings are next to you! I turn off our TV and stay away from phone calls! I am terrified of lightning! And...we're moving to Florida...Central Florida and I hear it is the lightning capital!! If the Floridians can handle them, then why can't we?! I guess we just gotta get used to them and just be cautious and play it safe.

I've been out driving around in that stuff...just got home a few minutes ago. I hate that kind of lightening...it scares the you know what out of me....my kids were laughing at me! I should have made them walk to the Maple Ridge!

Go to Flagstaff in the monsoon season. !!!!!!!

OMG! I just got back from picking up DD and the power was out all around the area she was in. I couldn't see a thing driving those roads without any lights anywhere. I'm very happy to be home!

We had a big storm here last night. From the start my lights were going on and off. But my laptop kept going! I finally gave up and went to bed. Had the retriever on the floor shaking like a leaf...we once had a huge storm in FL that scared him to death! He's afraid of them ever since. Doesn't phase the little guy. And DS slept through it. Today out driving around, I saw a couple trees ripped up from the roots. Last night I thought I was back in FL!
