Florida in April or June?

We are planning a trip for one of these times, but how is the weather in these months. Obviously June will be hotter, but is it as hot as August? We went this year in August and it was scorching and humid !!

I went in June once. It was too humid for me because I have asthma. April is very nice.

I have visited twice in June and it was way too hot and humid for me. April is lovely and the Flower and Garden show is beautiful. I vote April, hands down.

Went this past May (mid May) and it was already HOT, we are used to Feb. and other then this past year (brrr cold) we are used to doing parks in 75 degree weather which is perfect! So I also vote April but you may want to stay away from school vacation weeks due to crowds

We have been in both May and June and all I can say is YUCK! So hot and humid that I didn't really even get to enjoy myself.

If you're only concerned about weather, pick April. If you go in early June the crowds should be smaller. April has the spring break crowds. I would say June is just as hot as August!

Go for April -- just avoid right before and after Easter.

Early April would be my vote for the best weather and lighter crowds. However, I enjoy early to mid June despite the warm temperatures. IMHO - June is very warm, however, it is usually not quite as miserably hot and humid as August.

June/August about the same. I live in Florida and find August very hot but the differance between June and August feels the same. April is the time to go out of the two. November through April best.

I agree with everyone else. Pick April! We went the past two June's and it is hot and humid. It is the best time for the kids, right after the end of the school year and before Summer activities. We went during the months of Oct, Nov, Dec and Feb. It was PERFECT! July, forget about it! Talk about feeling like you are in a sauna. LOL

Easter & the new england school vacation week fall the next week, so it shouldn't be so bad the week you have picked. The weather is so beautiful in April.

This year I was there in mid June, and again in early September, and I would avoid going at these times again. The humidity was unbearable and took the joy out of park touring IMHO. I'm a January/Feburary girl! I'd rather need a sweatshirt or jacket, even gloves if necessary, so that when we decide to do a park all day long it's enjoyable.

April can be hot, but the humidity isn't as strong. I'd go then (oh, actually, I am going then!)

That coincides with Western No Carolina spring break -- we went last year and it was pretty crowded. So, go first thing in the morning and get your Fast Pass rides done (or FP's collected as often as you can), and don't go to a park that is having EMH (esp in the evening).

And it was hot -- not as bad as summer but hot.

Last year Easter was April 4th, so of course that would make the parks mobbed for the first half of your trip. Spring breaks generally don't make the parks miserable except for the weeks before & after Easter. Next year Easter is 4/24 so Cindy74 will be getting out just in time to avoid the madness.

April is lovely - excluding the 2 weeks around Easter. June is hell on earth - literally an inferno! I've lived down here for 24 years and it's normal to have temps in the 90's which feel like 105-110 with the humidity but it seems the only time we've had "heat waves" where the actual temps were 105 and the "feels like" were 110-115 were during June each year. It makes no sense to me, as you'd think temps would build from May-Sept, but June stands out in my memory for repeated periods of extreme heat/humidity.

I went in April for the first time this year, starting the week after Easter Monday. The weather was beautiful and the crowds were manageable. As others have said, if you are concerned about the weather, June - September is usually pretty HOT.

April for much nicer weather. We also went the week after Easter this past year. It was crowded but completely manageable with a good touring plan (we use TGM) and arriving at the parks for opening. June is busy - maybe not Easter busy but it is crowded as well, and really hot.
