Florida heat vs. Arizona heat

I guess I'm checking in a little late with my two cents...but I live in Arizona. The summers can be real scorchers...but you said you would be here in October....my favorite time of year here! As for Florida.....I don't like the humidity or the bugs...but WDW is there so it ain't all bad!
::yes::

I went to school at ASU, and loved the mountains. but there's nothing to do in AZ. I'll take the humidity and the gulf breezes over the smog from LA that drifts in. I can jump into the ocean here. AZ is landlocked. not to mention, there are no theme parks in AZ.

We were in AZ last winter and it was around 80 the entire time we were there. When we were outside, in the sun, it was a very comfortable temp, but out of the sun, it was very cool (this coming from MN where it was about -20 when we left home). We were in Las Vegas a few years ago in June and it was 105 the day we were walking around the strip. It was warm, but not so bad that you couldn't be outside. We have been to FL several times and are most recent trip in Jan it was 83 the first day we were there and humid. That was the first thing I noticed stepping out of the airport. We walked on the beach for a bit that day and got very warm and sweaty. If it had been that humid and 105, you couldn't have been outside. Even in MN in the summers, the humidity is what gets to you. Some days could be 90 and low humidity and you are fine, but others could be 80 and high humidity and you look like you just stepped out of the shower. AZ is dry, VERY dry. My skin was terribly dry when we were there. Drink a lot of water and use a lot of moisturizer.
