Florida flights in October

Hi

I am currently looking for flights to Florida from Manchester to Orlando for 1 week in October on either the 19th, 20th 21st or 22nd for 1 adult and 1 child.

The cheapest I have found is £360 per person inc taxes (the price changes daily) this is with one stop, obviously we'd prefer direct but cannot find anything cheap.

Orlando Int (MCO) is best for us as we can use Disneys Magical Express for the airport transfers.

Can anyone help me find something cheaper?

Given that at least £100, and probably something nearer £150, of the fare is likely to be airport taxes and fuel surcharges, I doubt you'll find anything cheaper during the school holidays . I'd love someone to prove me wrong though!

If you have found flights for £360, snap em up

We had been looking for a quick, cheapy this October half-term (only time I can go, working in a school). Having had a very nice two week ski trip to the States at Easter there wasn't a lot of money left in the holiday kitty, certainly not to justify the £800 which VA/BA wanted, so I had only a limited budget to see if we could do it for 8 nights. After many searches flights with American Airlines, changing at Dalla Fort Worth, were found for £390, but the connection times left me with concerns since the airport is huge and we only had 1.5 hours. Never flown indirect before, so I wanted to be in control as much as possible!

By the time we'd decided to go for it, the morning after I found them, the flights had gone up to £700 each

I gave up at that point, but a couple of weeks later decided to have another look. I kept finding reasonable prices, but DH was working away and thought I'd best check with him - each time, it may have only been an hour, the prices had zoomed up.

I had one last attempt a couple of weeks ago and put in Tampa, instead of Orlando because we want to spend a couple of days down the beach. Booked flights with AA into Chicago, down to Tampa at very good times and connection times for £367 each.

The only advice I would give is once you've set in your mind the price you'd be happy to pay - when you find the flights BOOK IT
