We have heard alot about the florida flea markets and would`nt mind visiting 1 or maybe 2 on our next visit.
Has anybody visted any and if so what 1`s and what did they think of it ?

Visited one of the bigger markets on the 192 in Kissimmee last year, to be honest wasn't up to much - a totally different experience from the likes of the Florida Mall! and you do kind of forget you are in Florida.

There were a couple of stalls selling cheap perfumes/cologne but other than that I wasn't all that keen.

When we were going to Ft. Myers to visit my folks every winter, we went to Flea Masters every weekend. It was great. It has been about three years since we have been there but we are talking about going on our next WDW trip.

Been to a couple on 192 and they used to be OK a few years ago but seem to have gone off a bit recently...

We visited Flea World in Sanford a few years ago. Very big and busy.

The Osceola Farmers Market is a bit closer to Orlando (east on the 192). Typical flea market WITH country karaoke singers

As Jakey says, it depends on what you are looking for. All are good if you just want to have a good look around and see what's on offer.

I have to agree with you that i think they have gone down hill . we went to them again last year. Going to give them a miss next year i think.

We visited the one on the 192. TBH itb wasn't up to much. Lots of the things looked like junk IMO.

The flea markets here in FL are not what I knew in IL, i.e. vendors selling a wide variety and mixture of new and used merchandise. I live by Disney now, and every flea market I've ever visited has the same old touristy/souveniry stuff, priced almost the same. It's more like the straw market in Nassau than a real flea market.

it depends on the person...
i'm not a flea market sort of person so it totally did nothing for me.....
but given that one man's junk is another man's treasure, perhaps you'll like it more...

I agree with the others, most of the stuff is the usual souvenir stuff, luggage stalls or Samurai sword kinda things. If you wanted some cheap Disney gifts, they sell the same stuff in Walmart and its usually cheaper there
