Florida Dis'ers - how often do you go to WDW?

We usually go a few times a month. Our next-door neighbors just got passes and we just met some other neighbors who have passes, as well, so we'll probably be taking some add'l kids along once in a while, too.

Haven't been in about a 5-6 weeks, though (have some family visiting) but have made a trip to DTD and to watch the fireworks from the Poly beach (the view's a tad bit better than from our front lawn) :)

We live 2.5 hours away. We have FL Res seasonal passes, which has blackout dates we wouldn't visit during anyway, and are somehwere north of $200 per year. We've visited 10 times in the past 5 years and will be down Fri afternoon to Sun afternoon next weekend.

We aren't close enough to just do a day trip, so it has to be a long weekend, which still means a hotel room, usually onsite for the parking and experience, but this time we are offsite and will have to pay for parking, which sucks. Some years we do one long trip, other years we do a few short trips. But it isn't something we can just hop in the car and do every other week. If we lived closer I'm sure we would, though.

45 mins from my front door to the gate at Epcot we go about every 2 weeks for a few hours nice to be so close that we don't have to do it all an see it all. With the Flower an garden show coming up we'll prolly go more. We are new to Fl waiting for last yrs AP's to expire so we can get premium passes....we then will have the water parks an disney quest so will prolly go more.

We live in the Panhandle as well. We generally make two trips a year - spring break and winter break. Sometimes, we throw in a third trip on a summer long weekend, depending on the type of pass we have.

I've lived in Florida for all but the first 9 years of my life and when I was a kid my folks would take me to Disney at least 4-6 times a year for a week at a time. Even though I live just over an hour or so away, from the late 80's until 2008 I never went back to the parks. My husband hated Disney, we worked all the time and travel really wasn't a priority. Now that we are much older and our DS is older we go, but only once or twice a year.

We have been down here 6 years, and had annual passes for three years. We are about 3.5-4 hours away. Didn't buy one last year because I had to take a paycut, and this year we are planning on doing the cruise, so we are using the money for that instead. While we had passes we went every 8-12 weeks for a 3 day weekend. If it were up to DD8 and I we would be there at least once a month, the rest of the family got tired of it :confused3 but every once in a while I hear one of them say, when are we going back to Disney...so I guess they do enjoy going too.

We live a 2 hour drive away. Grew up in the same town I currently live in. From around age 5 until I moved in with my Hubs (boyfriend at the time) my mom had bought season passes for me. Boy do I miss that.

As a child we went about 5 times a year for weekend trips. That was when they only had 2 (3 once i hit middle school) parks though. We never went during the black out dates. Always too crowded anyway.

Mom and I (just the 2 of us) did move up to Orlando just after I graduated HS for about 3 years - she had been transfered at work. We lived near UCF so it was still a 1/2 hour drive to get over there in light traffic. I was only taking MWF classes in college (and working FT) so I loved to go over on random tuesdays to the parks. Usually by myself.

My favorite spot was one of the quite corners of living seas. Just sat on the ledge and watched the fish swim by. They actually started to recognize me. Sometimes I'd sit for hours and think, sketch or journal. It's very soothing.

Now I have a young family. We have gone once a year for a few years now. Usually they were only 5 day trips. Last year we went for a week. We used to buy the FLR 4-day passes. But last year once they came out with the weekday AP we got that for all of 10 bucks more per person I think. So I am planning a trip that will be 51 weeks after our last one. Gonna try for a AP discounted package with dining. So I can get two uses out of those APs.

I'd really love to go more often. But times are tough. And gas prices are INSANE. Hopefully within 2 years we can afford the season pass and go up for weekend trips like I used to as a kid... :cloud9:

We live 30 minutes away from WDW. I feel fortunate to be able to go whenever. Husband works for WDW so get in free a few times a year too, an added bonus. Honestly it really feels like a permanent vacation. Sometimes I feel a little guilty because my family will call and its very cold and snowy where we're from and they're stuck indoors and I'm out at the parks in shorts and tank top. This has been husband's dream for a long time though and after his heart valve replacement surgery we decided life was too short and it was time to do it. we both enjoy it tremendously. We usually average 2 to 3 times a week. But we also like to do other things as well. In May going to Myrtle Beach for the T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation tour

We live about 3 hours away and we try to make it up there every six months or so. I feel blessed that live so close, Disney is something that some families only dream about!

We live 45 minutes away.We go 2-3 times a month. I have an annual pass and my DH has a seasonal one. We tend to avoid the summer because of the crowds. We would probably go more often but we work different schedules.

I have fantasies of picking up my DD at school one day and saying "Hey, lets go ride Soarin!" LOL! Sigh.....maybe one day!

We go a few times a month. We go to DTD more than the parks. I'm pregnant and can't ride much....but I can eat and sit at the movies so DTD is more fun!

We planned to go more often, but this baby happened! I joke with my mom that when the baby is born in May she's going to have to babysit while I ride some rides!

DH works for Disney so he gets in free but I keep my AP.

I live about 3 hours away but most of the time only go once a year for 7 nights. Every once in a while we will go for a weekend but not that much. Next year I think I will split it up in two trips.

I have the seasonal passes for Disney as well as the Platinum passes for all the parks Sea World/Busch Garden owns except for DC as well as the Universal /IOA Preferred annual pass.I've had all of these for over a decade even though I'm not that close at 4 hours away.Between 2000-2006 I was going an average of once every two to three weeks with some months like October as much as 3 times in a month due to all the different events like Halloween Horror Nights,Howl O Scream and the Food and Wine festival. In the last 5 years or so with gas going up and things getting a bit tighter the trips have gone down to maybe once a month or once every two months depending on the events during that time of year,we do try to stay longer than we used to before though, more four day trips versus two,I do know deep down eventually at some point I will have to move within an hour or so as eventually you also start getting tired of the long drive which I could probably do in my sleep from as many times as I've done it.
