Hi

we'd like to visit a couple of beaches on our stay, can anyone recommend some nice ones? think we are going to do Daytona, but would like to do one or two others

Yeah Cocoa beach is meant to be very nice

Looks like were going to be there the same time as you where are you staying

if you want white sandy beaches and clear blue water, would surggest clearwater or any of the gulf coast beaches. To be honest datona is`nt a nice beach. You will have cars driving up and down it at 5mph.to me it seamed oily.Coco is`nt too bad but on the atlantic side so sea dirter

I agree with Paul.

Clearwater and St.Pete's are further away but worth it, have been to Cocoa and Daytona , I admit many years ago, but didn't rate either.

Id like to go to Daytona just to say that we have been, but will def look at one of the other beaches for the water and sand

Just to echo what some of the others have said - please try the gulf coast!! - Clearwater or Sarasota beaches are fantastic - imho there is no comparison with the east coast beaches - west coast everytime for me!!

We stayed at New Smyrna Beach (about half an hour from Daytona) last year and drove up to Daytona to have a look :)

As others have said Daytona isn't a particularly 'nice' beach but I'm glad we went to see ;)

Clearwater and St Petes beaches, on the other hand, are lovely and the sunsets pretty spectacular

ANother vote for the Gulf coast, we didn't go this time but went six years ago and the sunsets are to die for.
Have a really smashing time wherever you decide to go.
