Florida Beach Resorts

Does anyone know of any great resorts on the beach in Florida? I am looking for something with an awesome pool area, water slides, interactive fountains or something. Maybe a lazy river, putt-putt and stuff like that. There are so many in the Orlando area, but I am having trouble finding something on the beach. We would prefer to be on the gulf coast and don't really want to go as far down as the keys or Miami. Thanks for any suggestions!

You can try the Destin/Ft. Walton area, which is in the panhandle. Also, the Naples/Ft. Myers area, although I'm not sure what condition this area is in since Hurricane Charley.

I LOVE the beaches in the Sandestin area (close to Destin) on the panhandle. No, I do not think that most resorts have the waterpark-pools.... When the beach is as gorgeous and inviting as the beaches here, the pools don't get quite as much hype! I know there is a waterpark, I think it is called Big Kahuna's... very nice putt-putt etc.... all in the area. It is all very upscale and nice. The sand is like sugar. and the water is clear and gorgeous. (I like to go in late Spring before the summer heat and haze sets in... my pictures look like postcards from the Carribean)
