I'm flying down to the Deltona area next month for 6 or 7 days. What is there to do within reasonable driving distance in that area, besides Disney? We do plan to spend 2 days at Disney. Any other ideas?

Do Old Town in Kississimee area. I enjoy walking the streets and getting a .10 pepsi.

just lay at the beach and prented that world will never end :)

Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach, St. Augustine, Silver Springs...

Lots to see and do here in Central Florida.

I live in Daytona Beach. You could come see the beach if you wish.

We also have a waterpark called Daytona Lagoon. It also has a golf course, go carts, lazer tag, and other fun activities you may enjoy.

You could go visit Daytona USA, which is near the Daytona International Speedway. It houses attractions all related to Nascar.

Those are just some ideas...

If you don't mind spending a week with my sister and BIL, let's go!

Thanks for the ideas everyone. We do plan on spending a day at the beach, definitely. My oldest one has already been to Daytona Speedway, but my younger one might enjoy it. She's never been there. Kennedy Space Center is another great idea.

It might be just because I was born, raised, and living in the area. But, Daytona IMHO is lovely but so over rated.

How long does it take to get from Deltona to Kissimmee? They have a Medieval Times in Kissimmee, don't they? DD15 and I were at the one in NJ a few years ago and loved it. I'd like to take DD7.

I highly recommend St. Augustine. It is so beautiful there. Lots of history to be learned, but don't let that scare you. ;) And, of course, what would a trip to Florida be like without a visit to Daytona Beach! Crack open some oysters and beer and sit and watch the world go by! Have a fabulous time, whatever you decide! :wave2:

Thanks! I've never been to St. Augustine. I guess I'll go google.

As said, I live in Daytona Beach and when I want to get away and go visit somewhere I like going to the malls in the Orlando area. Even if I dont have the money, I love just going to the four main malls and exploring them. They are so very much different from our home here in Volusia County.

I never went to Medevial Times but I do know they have one in that area. Perhaps try MAPQUEST for further information reguarding locations, times, etc...

Best of luck.
