just wondering if anyone had any pics of the floral wands that disney floral offers.... i was considering getting them for my girls instead of bouquets to kind of cut costs a little:goodvibes TIA

No pictures, other than the ones in the wishbook, but I had to chime in here....

After discussing it with my sister, because I didn't want to do it if she would hate it, I am getting the rose wands for my attendants. That would be my Matron of Honor - my sister, who will be 30 by the time the wedding rolls around, and my niece, who will be 16 by then. My sister said she didn't care, she figured my niece would actually love it, and that after all, we all LOVE the princess thing anyway, so they'd probably enjoy rose wands better than bouquets anyway.

Which was what I kept thinking from the first time I saw that they had rose wands. I just thought the idea was so neat.... I like it BETTER than bouquets, at least for the bridesmaids. I still want the bouquet for me (though part of me wants to order an extra one for me! :) )

My wishbook says they can do one- two- and three-rose wands, so I'll probably do the three-rose wands. I'll see what they say in floral when I tell them the wands are for adults.... maybe they can make them a little less foofy and a little more grown-up looking. Surely I'm not the first to do this?

Bringing up my Intimate Wishbook, I click on Enhancements and click on Floral under that, and the rose wand is listed under that. It only shows a picture of a single rose wand if you scroll all the way to the bottom, and it isn't a very good picture, but it's something.

Ah, I see the problem... if you are doing a custom wedding, and never bothered with an Intimate wishbook, the Custom wishbook doesn't have the wands at all.

Ah, how wonderfully consistent the wishbooks are. So strange, aren't they?

I have some pictures saved on my home pc of the single and triple that Rosie sent me. If you don't get any responses before tonight, I will send them to you.

I got the 3-rose wand for my MOH (my niece). She really liked it and it was MUCH less expensive than a traditional bouquet. The ribbon was ivory to go with our wedding colors and they sprinkled "pixie dust" on the wand.

We had a three rose wand for my sister who passed away a few years back, we had it in pale pink with glitter and it looked fabulous!!

I have ordered a 4 rose wand for my maid of honour and the three rose wand for my bridesmaid. If you talk to Rosie with the floral department she is very accomodating. I have seen somewhere on here someone had up to a 6 rose wand.

We went with this option because it is fairly inexpensive and they are very pretty.

See, I KNEW I couldn't be the only one going this way even with adult attendents.

And they do look gorgeous! I think my sister and my niece will LOVE them. They are both such Disney princesses.... my niece already scoped out the "bridesmaid" ears and insists they both have to have them (they were right next to the brides ears in the marketplace, but they have pastel colors for the ears and veils instead of white).

I'm doing the wands for my attendants too (both adults). It's Disney and what girl doesn't want a wand? I think they definitely bring out the "fairy-tale" in everything. (Not to mention they are way cheaper than BM bouquets!)

I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD GET UP TO A 6 ROSE WAND, THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!!!! I AM DEF GOING WITH THE WANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: THAT IS GONNA SAVE ME PROB A COUPLE HUNDRED BECAUSE THE ADULT BOUQUETS CAME IN AT $95 IN ROSES AND THE JUNIOR BRIDESMAID WAS $75 FOR ROSES AND I JUST THINK THAT IS A BIT MUCH..... AND THAT IS THE QUOTE I GOT FOR AUGUST SO IT WAS THE LOWER PRICE BECAUSE THEY WILL BE IN SEASON:eek:

THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP:goodvibes I DECIDED TO DEF GO WITH THE WANDS...... I HAVE A PHONE APPT WITH LAURA KIDD ON TUES SO I WILL SEE WHAT SHE QUOTES ME FOR THEM..... I FIGURE THEY HAVE TO BE LESS THAN THE BOUQUETS:rotfl: THANKS AGAIN YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST:grouphug:

FYI, Rosie quoted me $25 for the single and $45 for the triple...so it sounds like $25 is the base price and $10 for each additional rose. I am having mine done in silks so my daughter (13) can keep hers as a souvenier. It is a little more, but not much.

Prices have gone up (such a shock :rotfl: ) the 3-rose wand for my MOH was $35 in 2005. It's such a fun and pretty option to a traditional bouquet.

Just to let you know, too, they dry beautifully! My MOH let the roses dry and she displays the wand and it looks great!!

Here's another close-up:

How do you hold it while walking up the aisle and for pictures? Was it held like a regular bouquet? It seems like if it was held this way the stem of the wand would be long and hang in front of your dress.

I did a search on the boards for rose wands and here are a couple pictures I came across of what other people have done.

Here is an example of another rose wand:

And here is an example of how one might hold them:

Thank you to the people whose pictures these are. That little girl is so sweet with her wand.

Looks very cute for a little girl - not sure how it would look for an adult. I might try to make a sample one.
