Hey everyone, got a question and need advice/experience.

Just got our floral proposal/budget, most of it was reasonable and came in where they said it would. BUT, my boquet was SO much! I am having a 9-10" round boquet of white roses and stephonotis, bound with white satin ribbon and the stems showing. It came in at $200.00. Isn't that a little excessive? It's not like it is some crazy flower. My girls are having an 8-9 inch boquet made with at least 8 different flowers in it, wrapped the same way as mine and they came out to $85.00. How can that be? My family...including a florist... thought that was way tooooo high for mine.

I feel like just because it is the "brides" boquet it is more money! Does this price sound outlandish to anyone else?

I almost want to price compare with other florists for some reference. Any help would be great.

jennycee- I must agree with you on this as well. I thought that 200.00 for my round bouquet of roses with the stems wrapped in satin was a bit pricey as well since my daughters was only a couple of inches smaller for 85.00.
I do know that there are outside venders that you can go to other than Disney however I have a feeling that the price range will be around the same.

I must admit though, My flowers were soooooooo beautifully done and they lasted sooooooo long. Rosie really did do an awesome job and they were delivered right to my room before the wedding.

I think you should do some research before you say yes to that contract and see what your other options are first. You may get a company that will do the same for $$ less. Good Luck with whatever you chose.

Jenny,

I am using Charming Events for my floral. The original quote for my bouquet was pretty high ($280, I think) and I wrote Emily back and she told me part of the reason was that one of my flowers is very out of season, so it would be expensive), but she "re-designed" the bouquet to a smaller size and now it is at $200 and I am thrilled with it. (And still getting a huge bouquet, so I can only imagine how huge the original would have been!)

Emily seems willing to work with just about any budget and I have seen estimates as low as $600 with just a few floral pieces to several thousands.

My whole floral is coming to $1182.35 and that includes my bouquet, 3 BMs bouquets, 7 boutineers, 3 coursages, 4 presentation roses, a unity arrangement, and table decorations (including votives, roses, and mickey glitter and tuille and twinkle lights for the cake and sweetheart table)...If you are interested in seeing the estimate, I will happily e-mail to anyone who wants...

E-mail me at k.kismet@verizon.net and I will e-mail back...

Those bouquets do come out quite pricey. LOL this was one of the reasons why I also went to Charming Events but I still ended up getting a bouquet that was expensive (I couldn't help myself)but certainly the rest of the quote I got was pretty reasonable.

There are quite a few other floral outside vendors so perhaps you should shop around to get the best quote for you :)

My quote from Charming Events ended up coming to $2179... ok I went a little nuts, I know. But she has been great at owrking with me on the budget and Emily is just so sweet!

From my own floral budget and all the others I've seen over the past few years, that sounds about the same as the going rate down at Disney. It does seem steep, but my floral was fantastic!
