Flipflops @ V&A?
2) I have never heard of formal flip-flops.
Seems like the Disney "not allowed" policy does prohibit flip-flops and sandals.
And not that this is relevant to anything, but I did see a gentleman at V&A some years back in sneakers-- with a coat and a tie!!!
Obviously no one bothered to look at his feet when he arrived----
. . . Even with all the glitter/beads/gems I'd still say they're flip flops.
I wouldn't do it. I've always worn dressy sandals.
1) That would be pretty tacky.

I do know that sometimes people have to wear sneakers or a similar shoe even with dress clothes because of a health related condition. Sometimes we don't know what is going on in other people's lives. Just a thought![]()
