Ladies, do you wear flip flops in the parks? I love walking in flip flops and find them very comfortable even over long distances. I'm thinking of wearing them to the parks. Then I was thinking - is there the possibility they could come off on some of the roller coasters? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I wear them in the parks and never had an issue with them coming off although I do leave them in the floor for Soarin'.

I just wanted to add that you're sitting in a car on all the Disney coasters so there's no where for them to fall.

I have some comfortable flip flops I wear some days. Never had a problem with them on any ride. :)

Nope. I don't find flip flops are comfortable enough for walking & standing for long periods of time. They don't offer enough support & the thing in between the toes bothers me after a while. Plus, I don't want to lose a shoe on anything & for some unknown reason everyone in my family steps on the back of my shoes when we are walking:sad2: . They would definitely make me lose my shoe & scrape my heel.

I love my flops. I wear them just about every day. I live in Florida so I actually own more flops than I do shoes. My plan for our upcoming trip is to alternate between my flops and my Sketchers Go Walks.

I wear them to the parks. Never have a problem. My granddaughter did lose one on dinosaur. We noticed right away,it was still in the floor of the car, but they would not let us get it, so they gave us a voucher for a new pair.

Absolutely! Flip flops all the way!! I will wear only Teva's....they are the most comfy flip flops for all day wear at a park like Disney.

Yes, I wear flip flops in the parks, too. I have several pairs of Olukai Ohanas, which have a decent support, and I also have a couple of pairs of Merrells. For me, they've got to have some support.

It's all I wear! I'm a believer in Tevas mush, and I recently got a pair of Yellowbox with the yoga mat soles, and some cheapie nikes that are almost more comfortable than both!

Editing to add THESE are the yellow box ones and THESE are the nikes

If you do a lot of walking and visit several parks all day, bare feet in sandals/flip-flops might not be a great idea. I did that last time ; I wore my sandals all day and developed insane blisters on both feet. I had to do a little "emergency surgery" on my feet, and soak in the resort pool every night. I absolutely HATE wearing sneakers, but will do so at WDW this year.

The only thing I will miss is riding Soarin' barefoot!

I wear Yellow Box Flips in the park every trip. They are comfy. The only issue I have is when the ground it wet....I have to walk more "gingerly".
I have never developed blisters or sore feet.

I have a couple pairs of super comfy sandals that I wear in the parks. well, I wear them everywhere. I love them.

I wouldn't wear the cheap, old Navy style flip flops. My niece wore some last year and they broke in the park.

What style Yellow Box Flips do you wear? Leaving in a month a I can't stand wearing gym shoes to the parks in the heat!

I wear the Sanuk Yoga Mat flip flops - I wear them everyday at home and have never had an issue at the parks (and we walk an average of seven miles a day).

I love my Sanuk Yoga mat flip flops too! They are coming with for the trip, but I don't think I owuld wear them for the whole day. I'm planning on running shoes for the main park of the day, with my Sanuks for after the afternoon break.

I do not wear the wedge style, not for a lot of walking as that is horrible on your bones in your feet and ankles. I get the "Casual" soles in various styles. So comfortable!!!

Reef flips are also comfy, but I prefer Yellow Box.

Another Teva Mush lover here-- I have more pairs of them than I care to admit! On our last trip, I wore them every day for a week with no issues. I do leave them on the ground at Soarin, but don't worry about losing one anywhere else.

I like Yellow Box, too, but somehow the fit seems overall more loose than with Tevas, so I find myself tripping occasionally.
