Flip Flops :o)

My husband swears his OluKai "Ohana" flip flops are the most comfortable he's ever worn! I am going to try them on my next trip too...

When I was 14, my mom bought me a pair of blue flip flops from Lands End. I still wear them today, and I'm gonna be 22 in a week and a half! They have held up incredibly, and when I go to Kings Island or any other theme park, they're my first choice. They don't get squishy and stay wet on water rides, and they keep my feet from sweating. I'll be bringing those, my red Chuck Taylors, and a pair of nice shoes for the nicer restaurants we're going to.

I tried crocs a while ago--went to Kings Island with my boyfriend, and I thought they had no cushioning at all. I could feel every pebble I stepped on, and by the end of the day, I had no less than four blisters on each foot! To each their own!

I'm a Jcrew flip flop girl. I of course bring sneakers but 95% of the time I'm in my flip flops. I've NEVER had an issue with my feet hurting... (Of course that may be because I work in the restaurant industry so I'm on my feet 12+ hours regularly anyways) But I love Jcrews, they mold to my feet perfectly and seem to dry off pretty quickly.

I have never been able to wear flip flops comfortably. Then this summer I tried on a pair of Nike's. Awesome! I have worn them almost non stop since leaving the store that day. I shattered my left foot when I was 10 and the toes didn't set right so the strap between the toes has always been a deal breaker for me and flip flops. With the Nike brand I don't even realize it's there and they are wonderful. I've worn them walking for over 10 hours before and my feet didn't feel a bit sore. Now I work on my feet 12 hours a day so it's not the walking that bothers me so much. It's the pavement and water rides. The Nike brand dries very quick and even when wet I've never noticed too much slipping in them.

I LOVE flip flops and only wear flip flops. I brought two pairs with me to Disney for four days. (I brought no other shoes!) One was Old Navy, I wear them ALL the time. And the other was Roxy (had them for years and wear them ALL the time. And- GASP- they betrayed me! I got blisters on the bottom of my feet between my toes. We walked A LOT during this trip and I had no shoes to wear and had to buy - GASP - Crocs to wear the last day of our trip! Devastated by my flip flops, when I most needed them.

Lesson learned- always bring an extra non-flip flop shoe to Disney!

I have a pair of Teva Mush. But I feel like I am walking in sand and my legs are killing me at the end of the day. But they are good after walking all day for that soft squishy feeling!

On the advice of the ladies on Dis, I went out and bought a couple pair of Teva flip flops and sandals. They are soo comfortable!!:goodvibes

just bought a pair of tevas and yellow box based off the recommendations here-they are both very comfy! haven't had a chance to do any serious walking in them yet-but i think they'll be good for the parks.:)

Count me in! I wear my Old Navy flip flops all day, every day when it's warm enough for them and they never give me any trouble. I wore my sneakers to Epcot once bc it was colder than normal and I was blistered up within a few hours and ended up buying the mickey flip flops for some relief. I had cold feet, but they didn't hurt anymore!

Just so everyone knows: Teva Mush's are usually $24. At Dilliards.com some styles are on sale right now for $10.80 (I think they are discontinued styles?). Anyway, I just got mine for $16.75 with shipping and handling.

Wanted to let all those who are thinking about getting a pair know!

I never would have bought pricey flip flops for myself, but my husband surprised me with a pair of Teva Mandalyns after he heard me talking to my mom (another flip flop lover) about what I had read about Teva's here on the DISboards. I LOVE them, they are so comfortable and I never got one single blister or sore spot even after wearing them in the parks for 12 - 15 hour a day.

I just got a great deal this morning on some at Sierra Trading post. They were really marked down and then if you have a discount code (which is not too hard to locate one online) you can save even more, though sizes are getting limited.

Wow! A whole thread about flip flops (I live in them, too, including Disney :goodvibes) and no mention of Havaianas. I liiiiive in my basic black Havaianas. My first pair I wore in WDW twice. This summer they were really getting thin on bottom (only took me 3 years to get 'em that way) so I bought my 2nd pair. Looooove my basic flops. They go with everything! :cutie:

another flip flop fan here - i wear my yellow box in the parks and have no problems. i did buy one pair of croc flip flops and they are terrible to me - but my regular old crocs are really great, too - so if it's jean weather - i'm in crocs, capri weather, flip flops all the way!

Ohhh..good thread to ask..

I was looking at cushioned flip flops at Kohls last night. They were an Adidas brand, and came in a black and grey or blue and white color, but had kind of like "grips" where you foot goes for support. Can anyone tell me if they've worn adidas flip flops in the parks, and are they comfy? I normally wear the Old Navy one's, but as of late they've started hurting my feet so I wanted something with a little more comfort and support.

Here's a reference as to what they look like: http://www.shopadidas.com/product/i...748172.3737562.3895553&cid=G15863&shopGroup=R

I haven't read everything, so maybe this was mentioned... I used to wear Old Navy flip flops to the parks all the time. The one thing to really be cautious of is when it rains. There's no traction on their flip flops, so it's really easy to go sliding...especially on painted surfaces.

I have to wear sneakers to the parks now. I sprained my ankle by falling down the stairs 2 years ago. Now I apparently walk funny (I never got it checked out properly...bad!) and I get blisters all over the bottom of my feet if I wear un-supportive shoes. I even get them if I wear sneakers, but it takes longer for them to form. I've started wearing inserts and now I'm walking "correctly." Still won't risk wearing flip flops at WDW!

EDIT: I have a pair of Teva flip flops that I wear around home (for shorter walking excursions!) They're fantastic. I got them at DSW.

I just picked up my first pair of Fit Flops and they're great! I have been wearing them wherever I go so my feet can get used to them, and so far, there have been no problems! I'm leaving for WDW in 19 days, and I plan on wearing my Fit Flops all around the parks! :goodvibes
