I'm sorry if this is already asked over and over. I tried searching for the thread where I thought I had seen this asked before.

So - I'm traveling solo with my 17 year old daughter next week. (Feet dont fail me now!)

I'm a flip flop kind of gal. My feet literally ache in closed in shoes. What flip flops do my fellow flip flop wearers recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I’m a flip flop guy, wear them almost all the time in the parks (unless it’s cold) no matter how far we’re walking. I love Rainbows.

I really hate wearing athletic shoes to the parks, but I need some sort of "support" for my feet so I wear Merrill sandals. Super comfy! plus if they get wet, quick dry!

I usually wear a flip flop with arch support. Vionic is the really nice brand. They usually run $55-$90 for a basic thong sandal. Fortunately there are a few noname Vionic-like flip flops on Amazon that usually run $25-$35. I tend to wear the nonames at WDW, at the beach, on vacation, on the weekends, etc.

Arch support is so important to me when I'm on my feet all day.

I like flip flops too, but I have foot issues. The only kinds I can wear for any distance are Vionic Tide II toe posts and Olukai Ohanas. Neither kind are cheap, but very comfy, and they haven’t worn out quickly either.

Thank you for your input

I should probably add, Rainbows have pretty much zero arch support... but I’m weird and actually like it that way. I use custom insoles and such in my running shoes, but in the parks, for some reason walking around flat footed suits me better! It’s odd.

Me and my DD wear skechers flip flops.
But the nights will be chilly next week (for us), so we'll be wearing our skechers sneakers. :-)

I only wear flip flops and I love FitFlops for the parks and everyday life. My mom loves oofos for the parks.

Next week? None. Do not buy a new shoe – even a flip-flop – and wear it for miles and miles of walking without being properly broken in.

Normally I'd agree, but I bought my Sanuks at Downtown Disney halfway through a Disneyland trip because I hadn't brought enough different kinds of shoes and my feet were absolutely killing me. The first day I was cautious and brought my other sandals in case I needed to change back into them, but I ended up wearing those brand new Sanuks a good two and a half days straight with no pain.

I can't wear closed toe shoes longer than about 30 min. so I always wear some sort of sandal in the parks. I love my Clark's cloudstepper flip flops and Earth brand hiking sandals. I do have one pair of Skechers wide closed toed slip on type shoe I'll wear if it's just too cold to think about sandals. I will admit I have worn my Earth sandals with long pants and socks (sue me I'm old).
