Flip camera

I'm thinking about getting my DH a flip camera. What can you tell me about them? TIA

We have one and it's very easy to use and upload videos. I don't know how great the quality is, because we've only used it for fun little videos. I don't think it would replace a "real" camera. I always look on Amazon for reviews.

I bought a Kodak zi8 which is Flip's rival and works the same way. It has much better reviews, has 1080p so better video quality, and uses an SD memory card so you can get up to 32GB of memory. Originally I was going to buy a Flip and then started reading the reviews and changed my mind to the Kodak. It arrived in the mail last week (it's for DS for Christmas), and it looks so nice that I decided to order one for DD, too. Got them on Amazon for under $150.00. DD's is hot pink and DS's is aqua.
