flights while booking question

Not sure where to put this, please move if necessary. We are wanting to book for August a package on the disneyworld site directly. When building our package, we want to select flights. I want to do jet blue and there is a direct flight with good prices but it is nonrefundable. Can I change this somehow? We are picking out dates and are unsure of the dates for next school year. Would I be able to change dates for the package and also the flights if the calendar for school isn't what I think it will be or will I be charged for changes?
Perhaps I should just do the package without flights and add them separately after the calendar is released....

I'd recommend booking flight separately too. You can choose the airline that works best for your needs.

Another vote for booking your flights separately. Even my TA always tells me to book my Disney flights myself.

Book your package now, no flights, then book your flights when you confirm your dates, then adjust your package if you need to.

You rarely ever want to book airline through a third party such as Disney, Expedia, Priceline. Mainly because if something goes wrong the airline and booking agent will point fingers at each other leaving you stuck in the middle of the dispute. It's rare but it does happen.

I can't think of any advantage of booking airfare through Disney.
