Anyone know why the flights to Orlando are so expensive for this week in November.

Booked my accomodation months ago and just expected to book flight when prices came down but they haven't :sad2:

The most I think I have ever paid direct with Virgin is £370 and now for this November on the dates I want it is £525

I just cant justify this much, especially as I am back out there for Xmas and will probably have to stump up that kind of money for then!

I picked this week thinking that school holidays will be over and flights would be cheap, I went on 4th November last year and had no probs!

So depressed!

Any info would be greatly appreciated so I can gather whether the prices are likely to reduce!

if you're willing to fly with a stopover, then you'll find a cheaper flight...
Both Northwest and United have cheaper flights available that weeked if you're willing to change planes...

to look for the cheapest flight (among all the various airlines) go to www.kayak.com
put in your departure airport (e.g. london) and destination...
and the dates you're traveling..
it will find the prices of all the airlines..

you can also look at expedia, but i prefer looking at kayak.com and then i actually buy the ticket from the airline itself...

With current fuel prices I can't see them coming down but you never know :goodvibes

Our flights for last September were coming up quite high until about a month (possibly even less) before when they dropped so the prices for this November may well drop nearer the time aswell. With the price of oil being such a huge issue right now cheaper flights seem to be harder to find.

Prices jump as soon as the departure date is Nov 1st. If you went Oct 30th to Nov 13th it is only £357! I know VA have had a sale on for quite a while and obviously the lower price band tickets have sold out for your dates as they are showing M fares as being the lowest ticket available, when in actual fact N class is the lowest economy ticket.

We booked tickets at a cost of £392 each for December 1st (returning on 13th) just two weeks ago. We thought prices wouldn't come down due to fuel prices etc.

Yesterday the same flights were £342 each! Thats a whopping £50 per ticket cheaper.

We were fairly happy with the price we paid at the time, so I guess I shouldn't have gone back to check. I am pretty gutted though.

Thanks for all your responses.

Stupidly I panicked as the Virgin sale said it was ending on Tuesday evening and went and booked the flights at £525 each  Never paid that much in my life.

I knew I should have waited but panicked they would go up and needed to get on certain Virgin flight back on 14th so we were on same flight as my brother.

Low and behold the sale was extended (I hate it when they do that) and by Thursday they had come down to £449! Cant believe in 2 days I lost £150

That will teach me!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I booked flights for 14th - 26th December and they were £470 each. Again I didn't want to risk it, I knew Xmas would be more expensive and looks like all other days around those dates have gone up so gave in and booked.

I should not look at prices anymore as not all done however for some reason I just cant help checking again! Stupid isn't it!

Well at the end of the day at least im going and twice at that but could have done it for alot cheaper!
