We have been tracking flights for our March trip for just over a month now. They have gone from $329 to $379... input on waiting it out further to see if they drop again? Getting nervous that it will only get worse. We live in Maine, and would like to fly out from Portland. After looking into Boston flight departures/arrivals, by the time we pay for any/some options such as transportation down, overnight hotel, parking car.... we don't seem to gain any more than $30 per ticket for all the hassle.. thoughts out there from those New Englanders who have done it???

Have you looked into taking the Concord bus from Portland to Boston? The earliest arrival time to Logan is 5:05am. The latest departure time from Logan is 11:25pm. Parking at the Portland station is $4 per day. Round trip is $45 per person and they also have child and student discounts. Hope this helps.

We have stayed overnight in Boston before to fly out to Orlando. The drive and stay there is OK since you are so excited to go but driving home was not so much fun as we were tired and just wanted to get home at that point. Depending on when you fly out you could drive to Boston park your car at the hotel and take the shuttle to Logan and then stay at the hotel the night you return so you are fresh for driving back to Maine.
