Flights of Wonder question

For our fall trip, I'm planning on doing a few things I've never done before at WDW. The Flights of Wonder gets a good write-up in the Unofficial guide. Is there a big line for it? Or am I good showing up about 20 minutes before a show? It'll be a Saturday in October, if that makes any difference.

I think that 20-30 minutes is plenty of time, they may even have a CM with one of the birds in the front prior to the show giving some educational information in advance of the show. One of the best shows in WDW in my opinion, but I'm a bird "mom" so I very much appreciate the message of the show. Enjoy!

There's rarely ever a line for the show, despite it being an underrated and funny display. I've seen people show up minutes before (or after) the start and get in fine.

We did this show for the first time this summer and it was a great addition to our day! I highly recommend it. We showed up about 15-20 minutes before and there was plenty of available seating.

Just saw it this morning for the first time even though we've visited Disney over 15 times. It was great. We arrived 15 minutes prior to first show. No line and plenty of room even after the show started.

I would say in October you are ok, walking up right before it starts... plan an early show that day as a walk by and IF ( most likely not) it's full, just come back later a bit earlier.. I wouldnt waste any wait time unless you knew you had too. Also with Pandora, I think older attractions will take a hit on the crowds.. to your benefit

Thanks! I have no interest in Pandora, so I'm hoping it siphons the crowds away from the Safari, EE, Kali (I'm FastPassing all of those) and Flights of Wonder.

If you enjoy participating, try to sit somewhere in the center section and be ready with a dollar bill in your hand. (No, I'm not going to tell you why. But I wouldn't advise making it a $10 or a $20.)

A fun show. We enjoy it. We showed up about 10 min. before and had no issue getting a seat. There was no line, just a mass of people at the attraction entrance. There are a lot of seats available so I think you can show up at show time and have no problem getting a seat.

These are live birds and anything can happen. We had a bird of prey go for a duck that wandered into the stage area. This was not planned. The duck did get away, but it could have gone very badly for the duck. The show hosts were great about the incident and even joked about witnessing "the circle of life". You'll have a great time.

My husband and I see this show every trip since we discovered it years ago. As for where to sit, we, um, well, we've seen the show many times and I can say the right side of the bleachers about four rows from the top is, um, a good place to sit. That's all I will say for a first timer. Except to look to the right twice during the show for a view many will not see.

So many years we walked right by this show. We were early for our ADR at Yak & Yeti a few years ago and decided to watch the show. We now see it every year and realize all those years we missed a great show. Before the show starts they usually have a CM outside with a bird and gives some backround about whatever bird they have at the time. You really don't need to be there 20 minutes before the show as some people walk in even after the show has started.

I wouldn't arrive more than 15 minutes early unless it seems particularly crowded. We love this show.

Our last visit we walked up right as it started (the time before it got rained out). We were there beginning of June and mid-July. Mid-July when we tried we got there maybe 5-10 mins before it started. It's one of my favorite shows at Disney :)
