Okay, I have always been a non-stop flight person - most direct, fastest, least risk of losing luggage - but I am having second thoughts upon seeing that Delta, with one stop, has fares that are $100 less per person than either NWA or Sun Country.

SO my question is to all of you who have flown Delta from MSP to MCO and had to make that stop - how was it? Did your luggage arrive at the same time? Did you find the stopover a pain, especially if you have younger kids? Did you have troubles making your connections? I am looking at some of the connections Delta has and some of them are only 50 minutes apart. That's not a lot of time to get off the plan, possibly race across a terminal to get on another flight - especially towing younger children.

Any experience you have had will help, good or bad.

Thanks.

My inlaws flew from msp to orlando on delta connection in cincinatti. They were worried about a connectoin, but they loved the delta plane (a new one) and no problems. they usually fly nonstop suncountry.

They were very pleased and they are picky.

I am in Minneapolis also. We like one plane also, but last year gave it up for cheap fare and it was fine. This year we$98 RT on untied with a change of planes in Chicago. Do it, it is worth it for the savings, sun country is $100 more per ticket.

Not good.
Did your luggage arrive at the same time?
Miraculously, yes.
Did you find the stopover a pain, especially if you have younger kids?
Had to run through the Atlanta airport with kids, so....yes.
Did you have troubles making your connections?
Yes, our flight out of MSP was delayed 1 1/2 hours (We sat on the plane waiting for about a half hour at the gate...reason given..."We don't really have a reason for the delay" Then sat behind a bunch of other planes waiting to take off for another hour. Arrived in Atlanta 30 minutes after our flight was to have left...ran to gate and there was the plane sitting with all the passengers aboard...delayed for over an hour...problem with baggage compartment latch. Our baggage made the flight, which was the only good part of the whole ordeal.

Even given all of the above, at the current price Delta is running, I'd buy on Delta...just too good of a price. (In fact I just did!!)
