I'm looking for flights October 9-13. Right now they are $132 each way. No difference between round trip or one way. Any ideas, codes, secrets on how to get them cheaper? We only need 2 tickets. I'm looking at Southwest, but checking Priceline too. Any ideas or input is appreciated!

since you pay NO bag fees, looks like a good price. At least if price does go down for some reason, you can get a credit for difference. Plus it's a good selection of times.

I wish I could get even close to $132 each way. I'm looking for similar dates and looking to fly out of Lexington, Louisville or Nashville. I'm seeing only one leg of one trip as low as $148.

For my family of four, we'd have to come up with $100 or less each way to make flying anything less than twice the cost of driving. Looks like we'll be driving.

If I were OP, I'd probably book that fare. You might wait until Tuesday or Wednesday and check one more time before booking, just to make sure fares don't drop on those days. Tuesday and Wednesday tend to see some sales, though probably not much (if at all) better than $132 each way.

I agree. I'm hoping to book soon. I just saw someone getting $79 flights and I wanted that! Honestly, I paid $109 last November and I was looking for something similar. If I book now and price drops, the credit is good for a calendar year, right? Not just good til end of 2013?

We fly from Indy also, and $132 is not a bad price. Last time I found a $113 fare on AirTran and we just took carry-ons to avoid baggage fees. But at the last minute I got worried about not having seats together and ended up paying to reserve seats. Not sure if AirTran and SWA still have separate flights with the merger. I know AirTran had cut way back on non-stop flights to MCO. Check their website.

Is there an AirTran site? On my Southwest app, it shows AirTran flights. Did they merge?

Yes, SW bought AirTran. They are in the process of consolidating but are still operating as 2 airlines. You can reserve flights on either website.

Yep, looks like they have all of the flights listed on the Southwest website for both SWA and AirTran. The AirTran website is www.airtran.com and the prices are slightly different. Remember that AT charges for bags and choosing seats.
