Flights booked - It's official, we're going back!

Been looking at dates for a couple of weeks now and on checking flight prices yesterday made a snap decision to book for 6 - 10 May

We've not flown for years, since our very first visit, due to really rubbish flight times, meaning we'd miss the first and last days in the park. So we've got round this by deciding to stay in an off-site hotel for the first and last nights. Flight will get us there at about 19:00 on Sunday night (which is Abbey's birthday) and leaves on our last day at lunchtime.

I've not booked accommodation yet but looking like it will be Kyriad for first and last night and our beloved Hotel New York in between Although I do like the look of Sequoia so if there's not a better deal next month we might try there. Lewis has specified he wants a pool

Only downer is that DS1 isn't coming with us He will be 18 in May (just two days before Abbey's birthday) and is booked to go away with is friends in June - 12 of them in total.......someone will need to knock me out for that week

Anyway, let the planning commence!!!!

yey at the start of the trip booking - shame your DS1 won't be joining you, but at least it will be a lot cheaper with the 4 of you instead of 5. I hope you don't miss him too much, and still have a great time .

we're doing the same: staying off site on our arrival time. Our plane lands 19.30 in Beauvais, so we'd in DLP after park closes. I booked Kyriad and in the morning we're moving to HNY

YAY I'm so glad you have booked! It is sad your DS isn't going along, but I bet he will be jealous and want to come next time. I'm sure you will all be back at Disney together one day in the future so don't be too sad

Had a chat about meals the other night and Abbey wants Rainforest Cafe for her birthday meal. Might try Plaza Gardens for the buffet one night and would love Walts again, depending on the menu and park closing times.
