Flight Time After Alaskan Cruise

Probably, especially if you do express walk off, but I wouldn't risk it. I would book a later flight so you don't have to worry

That's the trouble it is basically that one or stay overnight and then get the early flight the next morning!

Yah, I've been looking for next year as well and it seems like all the flights are early in the morning and that's about it. There are some late late flights that literally have us going back to Texas overnight and arriving at 5 AM. No thanks! Yuck.

Here's your timeline going backwards....
  • 11:30am wheels up
  • 8:30am arrive at YVR. They want you to be at airport 3 hours in advance for customs, and security searches. Those US officers want to earn their wage.
  • 7:50am get in cab. It takes about 35 minutes to get from downtown to airport depending on traffic
  • 7:30am first walk offs. Is 20 minutes enough time? You'll also be missing that great cruise breakfast.... THAT YOU PAID FOR.
As you can see, this is a very tight timeframe with little contingency. If one of the bridges has congestion... you'll be stuck in Canada with no plane.

I would say yes if you do express walk off. We had early seating for breakfast, retrieved luggage and at the airport by 8:30. Our flight want until 4:30, but could have made a much earlier one had I known how easy it was too get to the airport.

we did express walk-off in Vancouver exactly three weeks ago (boohoo). announcement for walk-off came at 7:45, we had one last look at our stateroom at 7:49, and were at street level with our luggage outside the terminal at 8:03.

and we did skip breakfast; just ate real quick in our room that morning.

we also took the skytrain, which avoided the monday morning commute.

What missyp said. Also, if you can't find a later flight into NY, what about a nearby airport? If you mean NYC as opposed to NY state, check out Newark, NJ airport too.
