Hi :wave2: I plan to go to Orlando in late Feb, 2006. I called a few travel agencies to find out the flight ticket price. There was one agent telling that there is one available : Air Canada costing only CDN $440 including all taxes. Later on I called another agency, the agent there advised me not to buy ticket until 2-3 weeks prior to my date because i should be able to find even cheaper ticket by that time.

Athough i want to go for the cheapest ticket, I personally think that i should book tickets at least 1-2 months prior.

What would be your take?
Thx
TC

Where are you flying from?
Southwest, AirTran might be low cost, no frills option for you as well..:)

If you're flying from east of Montreal - BOOK IT!!
West of Manitoba - BOOK IT!
That's a great rate for taxes in:)

Check these websites too...

Have fun! And any questions, feel free:)

ED'D to add: This is Apothecary's DW, mbb..sorry, honey, gotta log you out!! :love2:

That's an amazing price if it includes taxes!!! I purchased my December West Jet tickets a few months ago before the price of gas started to go crazy and my cost is still a bit higher than yours!

$440 including taxes would mean your flight alone was around $330 or so (accounting for just over $100 for taxes)? I haven't seen $330 return flights from Air Canada in a long time.

I am flying from Toronto,Ontario.

In general, you think there's a better chance to get cheap February tickets in January than now?

I'm using AC in Dec-your price is unbelievable-take it now!!

Book it, book it, book it:)

If prices go down at all, it won't be for February(unless you wait for Southwest..but no guarantees that's going to be any cheaper)....that's heading into peak season. We booked our tickets for February back in late May from YHZ to MCO and paid $500+ per person...and figured we were doing well.

Friends of ours just booked for March from YHZ, and they're paying $1100pp :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

HTH!!

I agree that is a good price. Check the cancellation options -that way you can book it and cancel if it is an option if SW is cheaper. Is it hard to say right now as they STILL ;) havn't opened up past Feb 3rd, but in Feb '05 we get a really sweet deal flying out of BUF on SW. Keep in mind you add about $100 onto SW if you stay the night before in Buffalo - we do for piece of mind. The drive from TO to the airport is about 2 hrs - 2 1/2 hrs. We really like flying SW and there is a non-stop at around 7am to MCO and one back around 4pm which suits our schedules quite well. We are going down Feb 8-15 and are waiting on SW prices so I'll try and keep you UTD if/when we book.

I agree that your price out of Toronto sounds pretty good, I was quoted about $500pp for January. I decided to go on Southwest, and lucked into a DING fare for $39 each way. So for TWO of us it's only about $240 CDN. Not bad hey? Even without the DING, it's still cheaper than what you were quoted, I think it's $79 each way, and there's hardly any tax in the US. I am just going to bed very early the night before and leaving our house around 2 or 3am to drive to Buffalo....but it's just me and my husband, no kids. But if you don't want that hassle, then the couple hundred extra is worth it.
