our flight (SW) arrives at 2:10pm, taking disney bus from airport to Allstar sports AND we have an ADR for 1900 Park Fair at 4:35....

Is this doable or am i cutting it to close?

Should i make ADR for a later time?

will be close-
I'd personally make an ADR for 5:00 p.m. or later if you can

This is really cutting it close. I would try for a later time as in September .....thundershowers pop up in the afternoon quite a bit. If that happened you may not be landing on time......

I think that's way too close. Flrst, you're assuming that your flight will arrive on time. Even if it does, it'll take you at least an hour to get to your resort (3:10). The shortest possible trip on DME is about 30 minutes, and you have to figure in time to get from your gate to their boarding area. And, a bus may not be sitting there waiting when you arrive, and even after you board, you may wait awhile for other passengers.

Then, when you get to the resort, you need to check in. And then, catch a bus to MK, and get a monorail or boat to GF. I'd figure another hour, at least, for all of that.

All of the above is best-case scenario. I'd move the ADR to another day.

I would not do this without a car. Push the time of the ADR back another hour or move it to another day.

too close - what if your plane is delayed? hit traffic geting to your resort from the airport? delays in check-in? There are a milion variables that will make you late. Why be anxious - see if you can make it later. Enjoy!

I'd say it's too close for my comfort... esp. if you're relying solely on disney transportation!!

I agree with the other pp's - a bit too close. I think you've cut it too close with that schedule using Disney transportation.

Last year during "free dining" we landed at about 1:30 pm, and then had to wait in a humungous line at the ME counter, and then an even bigger line for the buses - it was about 3:30 before we even boarded a bus. Then we had the 40 min ride over to POR, which thankfully was the 1st stop on that route. Then there was another gigantic line to check in... that took another 35 min to get through. By the time we were clear to go - it was almost 5 pm - 3 1/2 hours later. You have allowed yourself only a bit less than 2 1/2 hrs. If it were me, I'd try to bump the ADR back an hour or two - just in case.

ITA with other posts. Using only Disney transportation, you will almost certainly miss your ADR. Even if your flight is on time and you get to the resort quickly, going resort to resort on a bus is not a short venture. If you have your own transportation or take a taxi, you might make it, but even in that scenario, it seems too tight.

A lot of factors would influence my answer.

Are you renting a car? If so and flying Southwest I'd say a 2 hour cushion is probably fine as long as you go directly to your ADR.

I belong to Alamo's QS program which means I bypass the car rental counter in the airport and go directly to the garage to pick up my rental car. I'm usually at my resort an hour and fifteen minutes after I land.

I also agree with everyone else... I think this is way too close. We made an ADR for the day we arrive but our plane is scheduled to arrive at 10:20am and we decided to schedule our lunch at the Garden Grill at 2:10pm. Almost 4 hours later. We are also going to be taking Magical Express to our resort.

Hope it works out for you though!

We land at 1:15 and I made our ADR for 7:55 (and the ONLY reason I even made an ADR for our first night was because the family wanted me to squeeze in Le Cellier and there was no other time for it!).

After 6 trips, my general policy is NOT to book an ADR for the first night because of all the variables people have mentioned here -- and we choose to bypass ME and use a private towncar instead. It's hard to go right into your trip feeling stressed out about the time, and our DS has generally NOT enjoyed having to rush somewhere for dinner right after we arrive.... We're staying at YC and so we can stroll over to Epcot and our dinner ADR; otherwise I wouldn't have even made this compromise.

I second this. On the last trip I actually did because I knew we'd be starving and ready to eat a non-fastfood meal when we arrived. I made it for about 3.5 hours after flight landing. We made it but had no extra time. We had a car and the restaurant was AT OUR RESORT.

Ya NEVER know!

Last time we went "home", we started in Bloomington, IL at 6am....sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes, missed our connecting flight in Atlanta by 5 minutes, were re-routed to Daytona Beach and put on a bus to MCO. THEN we took ME and checked in at 6pm....Our ADR was 6pm at Japan in EPCOT, as we were scheduled to arrive at NOON!

Needless to say...no ADR for the first day of our next trip!
