flight search engines?

Does anyone know of a site which will tell me which airlines use which UK airports, which destination airports they use, and which day / dates they operate?

I'm willing to vary my airline / departure / destination airports / dates depending on the 'best fit' for us - but I don't want to have to enter all possible combinations into a normal flight search as it takes forever! At least if I knew who flew when and where it might save me wasting time looking for a combination that doesn't exist

Don't know if this web-site can provide the information you are looking for by give it a go.

If you click "airline info" on the bottom menu it will give you a list of schedule or charter airlines, click on the airlines and it will tell you the routes they cover.

If you click on "city info" on the bottom menu it will give you a list of cities, click the city you are interested in and it will provide information of who flies there.

I'm sure there are loads of other info on there but haven't really looked at it in much depth other than to find out who flies where.

You might want to try itasoftware.com. It's only an information engine, you can't buy there, but you can take the flights details and go back to the airline's own site to purchase the tickets. It has a nice feature that will let you put in your preferred airports, but then specify a radius of however many miles from that point that can be used to look for cheaper alternatives.

It will only give you prices in dollars, however, so open up a converter in another window so that you can see what your cost will really be.
