HI
I read here that you can get lower flight prices is you book at 3am...is this the same for discount companies like Jet Blue or just your main airlines?
Thanks!

I never heard the 3 AM rule. :) It all depends when the airline releases its fares. The quicker you can get one the better.

I was looking to book a flight for next year. I tried logging on around mid night when the fares first came out and they wern't any cheaper then they are today.

I dont think there is a certain time like 12 or 3 when lower fares come out( I've heard it all ... like some bad urban legend or something lol ), but I've had better luck getting a 69 or 99 fare earlier in the day many times. Just luck I assume.

On some of the legacy carriers, when someone reserves discounted flights, but fails to purchase the tickets by midnight CT (1 a.m. ET) the following day, that inventory is released back into the reservation system within the next hour or two. Thus, it's possible that discount ticket inventory that wasn't available one day can suddenly be available in the wee hours of the morning the following day.

But that's hardly the same thing as some sort of sale prices that are only available at 3:00 a.m.

I once saw a $44 dollar fare with Spirit at around 2am, but when I went back the next morning to book it, it was $117!!! Crazyness... :goodvibes
