Flight query, multi stopover question please?

Good Evening,
Just starting to plan a once only trip next year in August. We have been to WDW 3 times previously.
The trip we are thinking of is one week in orlando doing Disney then flight to Las Vegas for about 5 days. Then a drive to the coast and then a flight back from probably Los Angeles.
We have to travel peak time as we have 2 older teenagers still in school so it must be end of July or August 2013.
Can anyone advise me of the best way of starting to work flights out as I have never done a complicated trip before.
When will the best time be to look as I know prices vary depending on when you book and has anyone any advice on whether to stay with one airline or different ones etc.
Finally any recommendations would be most appreciated for websites to look at etc for flights or companies to use.

pick Multiple Destinations on the airline web sites and you can book all your flight under the one ticket , usual saves a few pounds this way too
