Hello everyone :) I'm a long time lurker-first time poster!

We're planning on going back to the world next October and usually DIY rather than package deal. Obviously the flight prices for next year aren't out yet, I understand that they are released 11 months in advance? So my question is, what sort of prices did everyone get for direct flights for this Autumn/Winter? At the moment if we were going this October we'd be paying nearly £650 per person with Virgin"! We definitley want direct as we'll be travelling with a (fingers crossed) 18 month old and a 10 month old!

Thanks for reading my waffle!!

when the flights for our dates were released they were around 600 now they are 1300 each and thats just economy with VA!!

If you are a member of their flying club and have miles then you maybe able to get a miles and money flight for a little cheaper but flight prices are huge this year

indirect for our dates i found air france for around 550 each and thats with one sop both ways

I would consider them if i hadnt got a package and we are travelling with 2 23 month olds

Hi :goodvibes

We're going this October with First Choice, I'm sure we booked them last April so maybe worth a call to see when they're released flight only. Anyway I'm sure we're around £850 but thats PE, I think the upgrades were about £185 each (u can probs check on FC website) so around £665 each EC. Good luck and HTH:dance3:

Avoid october school hols if you can.

We paid around £550 each for Virgin flights with Jetsave for oct 2010. Price was dearer booking with Virgin direct.

For this october I booked as soon as flights released. The scheduled flights are released 11 months from your return date.

Have booked indirect for £500 each. Virgin wanted over £800 a person. These are school hol date flights.

Where are you flying from? Virgin have you over a barrel from Manchester as they are the only ones to go direct into MCO.

The Virgin flights were jam packed - prices only get higher or no seats available nearer the time for the prime school hol dates.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll stick with a budget of £600.00 each and hope that flight (and oil!) prices drop next year.

We live in Leicestershire so will pretty much fly from anywhere (except maybe Glasgow!), we usually go from Gatwick although I hate the drive back from Gatwick f:drive:
