i'm looking at going next november. at the mo, BA have released the flights but virgin havent. BA is about £400 return. i went in 2005 and got the flights back then for about £300.
do you reckon the flights will come down much (if at all), or do you reckon i should just book now before they go up?
also does anyone know when the flight sales normally are?

thanks in advance

I'm looking round for next Nov too.
First choice are around £430 but the cheapest I have found is Travel City Direct £1780 for 5 of us inc car
I'm not booking anything yet though, I'll keep on looking and hope they come down

Highly unlikely TCD will come down in price until last minute. How they usually work is best prices if you book early then as they sell seats price goes up nearer it gets until last minute they sell off spare seats. £1,780 for 5 incl car on direct flights, I would not wait personally.

Flight sales are normally over xmas, I doubt whether they will come down. Hope they do as we might end up going in November!!

Best deal I can see for Nov seems to be £442 for BA, £458 for VA.

Remember a large part of the £100 difference from 2005 is taxes and surcharges.

It seems a good price, not sure if you would save much in the sales, if there are any.

Are you taking kids? We booked 6 of us through Virgin Holidays and it was not much more than Travel City once we had added on pre-booking our seats and considered baggage allowance etc. They also do the kids for £199 in November. Did not do car with Virgin as need a van and can get this cheaper elsewhere. Got 10% off through a friend of mine, but Virgin Hols often do a discount if you book over xmas period. Hope you find what you want.
