Am I doing something wrong? Does everyone know something that I don't? I see people getting flights for around $50 a person to MCO. The cheapest flight that I can ever find is around $300.00 a person and with four people, I'll just drive. Can someone please enlighten me as how to find such great airfare prices? I have never flown before. Not because I'm afraid to fly, I just cannot justify paying that much for airfare for my entire family. If I could get tickets for less than 150.00 a person roundtrip, I would jump at the chance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!:confused3

 We fly the bargain airlines that tend to have the lowest prices. Jetblue used to be one of them, but haven't been close lately.

Mostly it's the DING program thru Southwest Airlines. If they fly near you to Orlando, download the DING program from their website and sign up for their emails. Then, look and listen for a DING! each day on your computer and book fast!

Other airlines to sign up for their emails is Spirit and Airtran.

That's how people get great fares! Remember, those $50 prices could be the one way base prices and end up being $60 or $65 when taxes are added. More if it's not non-stop. Each take off and landing gets taxed unfortunately!

Hope that helps! Happy Hunting!

You'll never find a bargain flying out of Evansville. You would need to check out surrounding major airports for bargains, and even then, they are getting harder and harder to find. The days of cheap flights are over I believe.

When are you flying to MCO? I'm flying from Indianapolis to Orlando Nov. 28 to Dec. 5 for $118.80 round trip and non-stop. This includes all taxes and fees. This is on Northwest Airlines. If you fly on Tues. and Wed. the fares are usually less expensive.

I know Evansville is probably at least 3 hours from Indy, but you might look at a park and fly hotel to stay in the night before.

To check Indy flights go to: http://www.indianapolisairport.com/ Click on about IND and then click our airlines and you can check the prices. As someone said, I doubt if you can get good fares from Evansville.
