Flight Prices Oct 2010?

After 7 trips booked via Travel Agents (Virgin Holidays or TCD) I've decided to bite the bullett and not use one next year. To be honest we pushed the boat out a bit this year and hoping to do more 'cheaply' next year.

What sort of price should I expect to pay for flights mid Oct? Virgin fly-drive is aprox £560.00 for adults and as DS now counts as an adult (17) I'm sure if I booked flights and car hire seperately I could do cheaper, also have DD 15.

Avoiding holiday times - flights this year are about £370 pp for October. The more people in your group - the more you will save in terms of car hire I suspect. Start looking when prices are released 11 months before your journey - then book as soon as you see a flight price you are happy with!
