Flight price woes!

Family issues have lead to us putting off buying our flights for our mid Nov. trip but we're finally ready! Unfortunately it looks like they've gone up a bit from last week, as well as one with a better arrival time must have sold out since it's not available.
I'm wondering if it's true that flights are cheapest on a wednesday?
We are flying from Sweden and flights are about 1000 USD per person economy and with the dollar as strong as it is I'd rather a lower price but I think it might best to just book them.
Also I'm shying away from KLM/Air France who are cheaper but somehow I feel they have a bad reputation. The flight I'm looking at is Air Canada/Lufthansa (operated by SAS but that's on the way home so.. ;)
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Today been looking for,us for march 2015, and using sky scanner air Canada via Washington came best, when checking they must be code shares as were united airline flights. Coste was about £377 return compared,to,virgin sale, price of £443 per person return. Have you tried sky scanner may be worth a look

There is nothing wrong with KLM or Air France

And anyway IF the price is OK Then Book it .

A little hardship for 9 hours will not hurt you .

I flew With KLM from Manchester to Vegas last year and they were brilliant. No problems at all, great flight, entertainment & service!

We've flown on a Wednesday almost every WDW trip so I guess they must be cheaper :) we are doing Tuesday to Thursday this time which also was a reasonable price.

Thanks, I had a look at Sky Scanner and prices look about the same as farecompare which is what I've been using for a few years now. I've only flown Virgin once since I need to begin the journey in Copenhagen but I had a look just and the price was the same as the others but I'd still need to get there from CPH. We are just to late out so we may have to choose to do 2 stops and fly with Air France. Thanks AZZA1987 re KLM, good to know! I don't know why I have it in my head thinking, ooh not them but they are cheapest at the moment. :thumbsup2

According to farecompare and discussed on the DisUnplugged video podcast (although perhaps before they went video, it was awhile ago) the airlines (if I remember correctly)release their fares on a day but then adjust the prices so that Wednesday is the cheapest day to purchase, then they start to go up again. Except I could have that all turned around, but something like that. lol :goodvibes
