What do you guys think of these flight prices for May 2011, think it is part school holidays and a bank holiday: :confused3

Adult £729 - Economy
Adult £1226 - Premium Economy
Child £609 - Economy

Its 15 nights, flying out from Manchester into MCO with Virgin. 19th May until 3rd June?

Do you think these are far too expensive? We will only travel direct as we have 4 small children in the party and an infant, plus baggage for all etc = very hard work as it is!!

This date seems to be popular, we wanted Sat 21st May until Sat 4th June but cant all seem to get on the flight!!

VA flights are out in 1 weeks time for our dates but we are worried that if we hang on, we might lose out on them if VA are more! Arrrggghhhh :headache:

Those are the exact dates we are looking into! I think it all comes down to how much you are willing to pay. I certainly wont be paying that much, i will be shopping around. It all comes down to luck ... last august i paid £1488 for 2a 2c and an infant but i checked all the time. Keep an eye on expedia ;)

Well Iv done it.....couldnt hang on!

Originally wanted Saturday 21st May for 14 nights but cant get the availability for all of us so booked the 19th for 15 nights instead!

Alot more than we wanted to pay but.....were going to Disney again!!

Didnt want to risk it after already paying the deposit on the villa too so will just have to get over it!! Looks like beans on toast for tea for the next 10 months....:rotfl:

lol ... sorry for the quick reply, i had little ones nagging me for their tea! Nothing wrong with beans on toast ... my Hubby threatens me with Lidls
I will sacrifice anything but i am a bargain hunter ... my family think i am crazy but i like a challenge ;)

Its always a hard one as no one knows what the flight prices are going to be like next year especially with all the uproar with the volcano. If you have a villa booked then i can understand booking now, i am patiently waiting ... not!!! I want to book it now :headache:

Enjoy the planning :)

Does it have to be into MCO? Have a look on opodo and flightscanner they may have something else cheaper.

Hi
Have any of you thought about First Choice instead of Virgin? FC have had some v.good reviews.
For 14 nights Manchester-Sanford departing Sat 21 May 2011 is
£526.89 adult/child, £30 infant.
Upgrade to premium for an extra £180 each.
Hope this has helped some of you.

Thanks everyone! If it was totally up to me, I would have waited but unfortunately my family are very impatient and were desperate to book! Ha ha!

My sister bought into the whole 'if you
don't book these, you've got no chance' story!

But, it's booked now, villa people were happy to move it a day or two, deposits paid now just got to wait! Well.....they have anyway, me n the hubby can't wait that long as you can probably see from the tickers!

Now I'm going to attempt to make 4 Disney countdown charts for my little bro and my 3 nephews! Arrggghhh....where do I start!!!

A little early, flight only have not been released for these dates yet, the reason Saturday 21st is not available yet and why they are expensive. Personally I very rarely book a flight until less than 11 months for return date.
Is it a big deposit you have paid? if small there is a chance you will be able to cancel and rebook cheaper but if a large deposit probably wouldn't be worthwhile.
You never know if prices have risen again for next year you might have done the right thing but if they are so much I won't be going, I want similar dates.

Forgot to say BA release their flights earlier than Virgin. 21st May for 14 nights = £542.50 (adult price)London into Tampa. I expect Virgin to be around this price when released.

Go onto the DISigns board. Loads of creative advice and assistance on there. Enjoy. (It's addictive though ;))

We have paid £150 deposit pp! The other thing with waiting for the VA flights to come out is that you have to pay for them at once which is fine for me but my other family members, especially my sister who has 5 seats to book, it's a lot to pay at once that they won't have spare!

I'm sure I could have got a bit cheaper, family didn't want to
risk losing these! Plus, for some reason, don't know why lol, we wanted Virgin and only MAN to MCO!

If we went from Wakefield to London, we would probably stay the night b4 so when you add the cost of the hotel in London and petrol there and back, we can up the Manchester budget a bit and probably break even with the price difference! Plus I hate the drive from London after a nearly 9 hour flight from America!!

But thanks so much for the advice! Seems our dates are very popular, I hope you all get what you need!:goodvibes
