Is this a good price? I found round trip tickets on the Continental website from Houston to Orlando for $232 per person for the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. Is this a good deal? OR should I wait for something better. I've noticed alot of time they have better deals come out, but then again prices go up the closer you get too sometimes.

I thought it was a pretty good deal considering we paid about the same for a connecting flight with US airways last time we went.

Also, does anyone know if all airlines charge for kids that are 2 a full adult seat price? DD will be 2 1/2, so I don't think she could pass for a lap child...Thanks!

kimberlyp02--it seems like an okay rate. Sept and Dec 2002 we flew on SWA for $176. Our Oct trip we paid $252 and now for our June trip we are paying $202. All flights on SWA from Hobby to MCO. You might want to watch SWA for them to open up more dates. I bet you could get the tickets for about what we are paying (depending on your flight times). We have evening flights.
The internet prices that we got for our flights dont specifiy kid or adult but I know if I called them I would be paying more for the kids. My 2 little ones are 4 and 2. And yes I would get your dd ticket because most airlines check the birth certificates of the kids that dont have tickets. I would hate for you to get there and have to pay big $$$$ to get her a ticket at the time of the flight.

Thanks for responding. That's where I was running into a problem..lol SWA I was checking IAH(Humble) not Hobby and it kept telling me there were no flights....That's a BIG help!! :) I guess it'd help if I'd use the brain sometimes....

Do you have to wait another month or two though before they will be pricing for Sept? Right now, they are only going to August 1st! Thanks!

Yes I think your dates will open up within the month. They just opened up the dates through Aug about 10 days ago. Our trip is May 29-June 12 and before they opened up these new dates you could book through June 11, lol. I couldnt believe they had the dates cut off 1 day before I needed it, lol. We live in Pearland so we try not to fly out of IAH since its so far but if you live in Humble that would be the best place for you to depart. Are the prices higher from IAH than Hobby normally?

I'm not sure. We've never flown out of Hobby. We have always used IAH. The prices that I've check before out of Hobby weren't good enough for me to drive there is all I remember. We live about 1 1/2hrs north of Humble. So either way it's a drive for us.

Oh, also, on SWA the only non-stop flight they have is at 7:40pm at night to Orlando. All the others are either 1 connection or you have to stay on the plane while they stop and then take off again. In my opinion, it would be worth the extra $20-30 to have them just go straight there..lol....I don't need all that ear popping :) I'll keep checking though!

For our flight our of Hobby we are on the 7:40 flight. It is non-stop and it was cheaper than the earlier flight that stops at MSY (New Orleans). I would rather have the non- stop anyway. And our flight back from Orlando is the 6pm flight--arriving here at 8pm.

I would like non-stop so that's why we are going with Continental. I think we are either going to take the 7:43am flight out of IAH or the 10:45am one. This way we get to Disney and can enjoy that first day too. I didn't want to get there and not be able to use my first day there at all. We may not visit the parks, but I figured it would be a great evening to get there, get settled, take a nap, look over maps and swim and possibly do a character dinner with my dd :) CAN'T WAIT!!

Why dont you call them and see if you pruchase your tickets now and that flight goes lower if you can get a credit. The only down side is you normally have to use the credit within 1 year. When we bought our SWA tickets we paid $212 but the next week the same flight was $202. Now I know your say only $10 but we bought 7 tickets, lol. So now I have a $70 credit with them (which I hope to use in December :p ).

Good thinking....although I'm not sure if we'd use it...but I guess it wouldn't hurt just in case though right? thanks!
