Well, I flew with Virgin in December, for the first time and loved it. I live in the North, so the direct flights from Manchester are great.
Well, I've booked an 8 night trip in May and couldn't get economy at all for our dates - so I paid £3k for premium economy for return trip for four adults and two children. It probably isn't the greatest deal, but most economy flights for these dates were around the £2k mark and we really hate flights that don't have the seatback entertainment, and many don't.
Anyway - fast forward to October, it will be my honeymoon - last two weeks of October (half term occurs during this period, i know, because my mom will be looking after the kids).
We are hoping to fly into Orlando and return from there - getting a domestic flight to and from Aruba (our first week is in Aruba on a DVC exchange and our second wk we are doing in Disney at Saratoga).
Well, out of curiousity, I looked up Upper Class Virgin flights for our dates and it was about £2940 return in total for the two of us. I thought it would be a lot more expensive, but I didn't intend to book the flights just yet - i normally book about three months out. But, is this a good deal - I noticed there aren't many upper seats on the plane and it will be half term?
Also, how is flying in upper? I've always used economy, but would like to try something nice for honeymoon and was exhausted from our last trip for at least a week (I run a small business, so the exhaustion probably cost me a lot in time and productivity). Is it possible to sleep well on the return journey?
Sorry for the long post, but I haven't done this before and would appreciate a little info from the experts. Thanks.
