We are currently at the airport waiting for our flight...our bags were tagged with dme tags and checked...we were supposed to land at 9:11 but now the flight is delayed and at least at this point we are due to land at 10:11. I read that they do not take the luggage after 10. When we land should we just go to claim our bags even though they have the yellow tags? Or should we go first to the dme?

I think you should go claim your bags. If you don't arrive before 10:00, there is no one to pull your bags for DME. I think they'd just go around the carousel until the next morning. Personally, I'd be uncomfortable with that.

Wonder what we should do if we land at about 10...hmmm

How did it go? Did you end up picking up your luggage? Hope you have a great time and do a trip report when you get back! :)

If iyou arrive in the main terminal after 10 PM you need to go to the carousel and claim your bags and carry them to the Magical Express area. Admittedly this may be a long walk.

Should your bags not show up at the carousels, file a claim there before leaving.

We arrived at 10:15 on the A side and indeed had a verrrry long walk after retreiving our luggage. There were many lost people who did not know how to get from the luggage carousels to the dme. After walking what felt like 10 miles with lots of luggage, we sat on a bus for about 30 mins and didnt get to our room till after midnight... Don't think we will fly late any longer...on a bright note we had a great day yesterday with temps around 90 & humidity in the 50s%

It is a bit of a hike from the A side of the terminal to DME on the B side, which is why I always point that out to people who have the option of using the luggage transfer service but are questioning whether to use it. That said, directions for how to get to DME are pretty clearly spelled out in the DME package that guests receive in advance and there's even a map, so if you take a few minutes to review that material it's really not that hard.
